After splitting off from the group, we spent our afternoon and evening exploring Central Park, the MET and National History Museums, Rockefeller Center & Top of the Rock & then we finally ended our day with dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse. We walked 23,095 steps and at one point I had to take my shoes off because my feet hurt so bad. Completely my own fault...my Instagram post..."Wear your new cute wedge shoes wile walking 23,000+ steps in NYC," thought no sane person EVER. #yesiwalkedinmysocksthroughcentralpark #seriouslyinpain #sosmart " I really think it would have changed my entire attitude that day if I would have been wearing different shoes! Also...I had no clue I was pregnant at the time, so it makes much more sense to me now why I was feeling SO exhausted! I'm just glad I wasn't nauseous at this point yet! Central Park was underwhelming to me...I think I would like it so much better if I were riding in a horse drawn carriage with a blanket and snow falling...lol! Just saying! It was pretty & we saw the Alexander Hamilton statue and the pond where little boats sail that is in several movies. Brian originally wanted to ride bikes through the park, but I wasn't feeling it. We made our way through the park & over to the Natural History Museum and that was pretty neat. I loved all of the animal displays...the kids would have liked this museum. After that, we walked (and walked and walked) over to The MET...now I've just gotta be real, because its the truth...I've never seen so many statues and sculptures of naked renaissance people in my life. #truth Not sure what to make of it, but that's basically all I can even remember about being in that museum, lol! We took an Uber back over by Rockefeller Center & passed Trump Tower & St. Peter's Cathedral on our way. It was a full day of walking around the city for us...and if I could go back and do it again, I would change my shoes and my attitude (sorry Brian)!

I had just finished reading a book about Eliza Hamilton, so it was kind of neat to see Alexander Hamilton landmarks on this trip.
This is where I broke down and took the shoes off...
I didn't take any pictures inside of The MET...mostly because they wouldn't have been appropriate to show my kids...lol!

We had to kill a little time here, because we had reservations to go to the Top of the Rock to watch the sun set. If we wouldn't have been so tired, we probably would have gone ice skating...but nope, we just sat there and watched. Another sure sign that we are getting old!
