See Ya, 2024

I can't say that I was sad to see 2024 come to an end...it definitely feels like we have spent the last 4 months in survival mode. That thought really upsets me...what was supposed to be this happy, joyful season of Mackenzie's Senior year, Jack's first year of PreK, Jonah's 6th grade year, Madi's Sophomore year...was completely hijacked at the end of August, and things became extremely difficult for our family. If I'm being honest, especially during Sept-Oct-Nov, it was a daily struggle to choose joy. I am still fighting feelings of bitterness and anger. I find myself thinking "What happened to my life?" The truth is, change is just hard. Life...is just hard sometimes.
But here we are, pushing through...closing out 2024...excited for a fresh start in 2025! Thanking God for all He has done in the past. Looking forward & trusting Him for our future!

Cheer Showing

The girls had a cheer showing on Monday night, to perform their Nationals routines for family and friends who may not be coming to Nationals. It's also just a great time for them to practice and perform in front of a crowd, before heading to Orlando. This was my first time to see the completed versions of the Duos the girls were doing too, and I was so impressed with their choreography! So much fun! I think there were 9 duo routines, and I just have to say--they were all so cute, but Mackenzie & Madi's was the best! I'm not at all biased...
