11 Months Old

At 11 months old, Jonah is ON THE MOVE! He has finally figured out how to crawl and now nothing is safe! Especially the DVD player...it continues to be his favorite "toy." He is completely fascinated by it and does not pay any attention to us at all when we tell him "no-no." I can't get this baby boy to drink out of a bottle or a sippy cup at all. How in the world am I going to ever wean him?! That is a sad thought anyway, so for now I'm choosing not to worry about it. His first birthday is coming fast, and I just can't even believe it. Jonah enjoys taking baths in the big bathtub now, sometimes with his sisters. He is sleeping in his own bed at night, but I nurse him to sleep first and then lay him down. We have tried just laying him in there and trying to get him to go down by himself but he just cries and cries, and I can't stand it! That is coming, but I just can't do it yet! I have spoiled him something awful. Jonah's hair continues to grow every day...he might just have a ponytail by the time we make it to Disney at the end of November. But by golly, I'm determined to have his first haircut there! Jonah has loved splashing in the pool this summer. He loves swinging and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. His favorite toys are things that really aren't toys. If I want him to play with something, I have to act like it's something he shouldn't really be playing with...then he'll want it! I think we're in for a lot of mischief with this one! He's so cute though, that he gets away with just about anything! He thinks his Momma is pretty funny and he has figured out how to make the rocking chair rock all by himself, so this photo session was lots of fun! I really think he could be a baby model...he just sits and smiles for the camera most of the time. I think he knows it makes Momma happy!
Sweet. Sweet. Sweet.
Happy Baby Boy!

Sulphur Springs

We went with G-Ma and several of her friends that she teaches with to Sulphur Springs one day to have a picnic and go swimming. I can honestly say that I have never been in such cold water in my entire life. It felt great once you adjusted to it, but wowzas! Before we left for Sulphur that morning, we had to make a Wal-Mart run for food and sunglasses. Even Jonah got a new pair of sunglasses that have Mickey Mouse on them. He just HAD to have them! =0) We spent several hours playing in the water. I even stepped totally out of my comfort zone and jumped off of the rocks into the water. After I did it, Madison decided she wanted to do it. She was so scared and even crying when G-Ma took her out on the rocks to jump into the water to me. I kept telling her she didn't have to do it, but she was determined that she was going to do it. G-Ma helped by basically throwing her into the water to me. She missed scraping her back on the rocks by inches...it was kind of scary, but she was so happy and proud that she did it. I knew the feeling well! Mackenzie wasn't about to do that...she was perfectly happy cheering us on from the sidelines!
After we had all of the water and fun in the sun we could handle, we loaded up and went to McDonald's for chocolate dip cones. There is no better way to end a day of swimming than with a dip cone!
Every time I think he can't possibly get any cuter...he does!
Stylin'
What do you know...Madi picked Minnie Mouse sunglasses!
And these are the sunglasses Mackenzie picked out. She wanted some that looked sort of like mine. =0)
Little Surfin' Dude
G-Ma knows how to pack a picnic, now!
Jonah wasn't bothered by the cold water, which surprised me. I think his favorite part of the day was being fed by Momma while floating around in the water. Let's be honest...that was one of my favorite parts too! It makes me very sad to think that the end of nursing is drawing near. It has been such a wonderful bonding experience, especially with Jonah. I think because he is my third one and I know what I am doing, it has been much more relaxing and enjoyable.

I'm so very thankful for all of the wonderful friends G-Ma has!
The crew of kids!
It's fun to be silly! We must have been missing Daddy, because he's usually the one that makes faces for pictures!
The treasure hunter found many, many rocks that we just had to keep!
The coolest G-Ma EVER! That is quite a jump! =0)
I was proud of my brave girl!
After a couple hours in the water, I got Jonah out. He was perfectly content sitting in his stroller with his sippy cup, and taking a nap!
I LOVE this picture!
Playing in the water just wore him out!
And, the only way to end this kind of fun day....chocolate dip cones!!! Jonah was an especially big fan!

July Misc

These are just a bunch of random pictures and video's from July!
Jonah thinks Madison is very funny and loves it when she plays with him!
They actually think cleaning is fun...wonder how long that will last?! I'm going to take advantage of it for now. They may not get it clean like I would get it clean, but I love it that they want to help and are learning to take responsibility!
Not a happy camper. Not sure why!
This was too funny...He kept reaching and reaching, but just couldn't get to those little puff's through his legs!
G-Ma is such a good sport!
When G-Ma stays with us, she sleeps in Madison's bed and the girls both sleep in Mackenzie's bed. Well, they start out there, anyway! This is usually how they end up...both in bed with G-Ma! Only I don't know where she has room to lay!
Reading a book with G-Ma before bed.
Jump! Jump!
One day while G-Ma and I were working on getting our stuff ready to sell at Rhea Lana, Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin came up and took Brian and the girls shopping. It was very humorous when Brian called me twice on Facetime from Payless to figure out what kind/size of shoes to buy! It's good for him to experience what shopping is like with them! =0) They came home with new shoes (some of which were the right size!) and several adorable new outfits from Grandma & Grandpa Baldwin!
Madison is getting very good at doing puzzles!
Sisterly love!

We have all really enjoyed the hammock at G-Ma's house this summer!
Peek-a-Boo, I see you! Jonah looks so much like Madison as a baby here.
Good morning, Sleepy heads! What a wonderful way to start the day!
Every time I decorate cookies, Mackenzie wants to decorate her own. She's quite the little cookie artist and who knows...maybe she will follow in my footsteps one of these days!
One day we found this tortoise crawling around on our porch. Very random! The girls named her Sally and put her in our backyard. When we came back later that afternoon and couldn't find her, they just knew she had crawled under the shed and that was now her new home. =0)
We took the girls to The Little Gym for "Parents Survival Night" so that Daddy and I could go to dinner one evening. They got to play, eat pizza, do crafts and watch a movie. We went to dinner at Zio's and then went home and rented a movie on our tv, before going back to get them at 10:00. Fun evening for all!
We went over to the Bell's house to swim, and have lunch and snow-cones one day. Their pool is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen! The girls had a blast and have asked several times if we can go back over there!
Jonah has the best big sister's EVER! They take good care of him and help me make sure he doesn't get into anything he shouldn't have. Now that he is bigger, I catch them sometimes picking him up around his chest and carrying him to another room. I always remind them to be careful, but he doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all! This picture of Madison and Jonah reminds me so much of Clint and me when we were little.
Something tells me this didn't last long...
Our friend, Taylor went to China and the girls were pretending to talk to her on the other side of the world...I guess they thought that meant under the floor!
