GNJ May Update

May Update: Milestones, Momentum & Mission

May was full of God’s goodness—both in our family and ministry!

FAMILY

🎓 Mackenzie graduated high school this month! She also took her senior trip to Boston — such a meaningful experience. We’re so proud of her and can’t believe how fast the years have gone!

🚗 Madison is close to getting her driver’s license and has been logging lots of hours behind the wheel.

🏛️ Jonah took a impactful class trip to Washington, D.C., learning how God’s hand has guided our nation.

⚽ Jack played soccer for the first time and scored five goals in one game! He’s loving it.

🙏 Big answer to prayer — God provided BIG for our car needs! 🚗 Want to hear the story? Reach out! He’s faithful, and we’re trusting Him for what’s next.

Jack's Movie Dates

Madi and Addi had a little tag-along when they went to see the Lilo & Stitch movie!! Jack and Madi both share a love for Stitch, and he thought he was big stuff, getting to go with the girls! Yes, Jack is wearing dinosaur pajamas...it's summertime...not a battle I was willing to fight!

"LOOK, MOMMA!"

He was so excited to come show me that he put on my eyelashes! Lol! Life is never boring with Jack!

Church Camp with Kade

The week after Graduation, Mackenzie went to church camp in Texas, with Kade. This was her first time to drive down there by herself, and she did great! It sounds like they had a very fun week, minus Kade hurting his ankle and spending half of a day at urgent care. Mackenzie made new friends and of course had fun spending time with Kade! They even got to do square dancing one night!
Poor guy!

Still Rockin' Spidey

The Spiderman costume is still going strong! It has a few rips in it, and the knees are just about worn through, but he isn't giving it up! It will be a sad day when he doesn't fit in it anymore. Best money ever spent!

Shelby's Grad Party

The day after Graduation, we went to 3 grad parties. One of them was Shelby's! So thankful for the sweet friendship she and Mackenzie share. Maybe one of these days they will actually be related?! I was laughing at them on the Senior trip, when they realized that if Mackenzie and Kade get married and having babies, Shelby will be Mackenzie's kids' 2nd cousin. LOL! You just never know... =0)
So glad this girl doesn't graduate for 2 more years! I can't imagine back to back Senior years!

I DID IT!!

Now that all of the celebrating for Mackenzie is done...I am celebrating me! Hahaha! Kind of proud of myself for surviving the month of May and my first baby's High School Graduation! I think I aged at least 5 years, but what can you do?! Seriously, this day was something I have dreaded for a very long time. Watching your kids grow up is the most bittersweet thing ever. I can't even think about actually moving her to college at the end of the summer yet...but at least we made it through this part! And, I still have a smile on my face...

Celebrating the Graduate!

Mackenzie was surrounded by all her favorite people at Graduation! Family, friends who are family, teachers, fellow graduates, and even new friends from Texas, made this night extra special! =0) So thankful for all of the wonderful people who love us and celebrate life with us! After the ceremony, there was a reception in the gym. There were a LOT of people in there! And yes, of course I took a LOT of pictures!! This was a wonderful way to wrap up Mackenzie's time at CHA, and our hearts are full.
Love her!
I managed to not cry my eyelashes off, so that's a win!
They have trouble taking a "normal" picture! No doubt about it, Brian is the fun parent! =0)
LOVE!!
I will forever be so thankful for this one year that they all got to be at CHA together! It will just be so strange without Mackenzie there next year.
Sweet sisters!
Our Bookends...
One finishing...one starting...
CUTEEEE!!!
GMa wrote Mackenzie the sweetest poem, telling her that her Graduation gift was a trip anywhere in the world she wanted to go, with GMa! Wow! So sweet and special!! London & Paris, here they come! =0)
Now that's a good hug!! I really love this picture!
Kade coming into Mackenzie's life has been a sweet surprise this year! It was very special that his family got to be there.
These smiles though...
Creds go to Shelby for introducing them!
Ms. Hansel will always hold a special place in Mackenzie's heart! So thankful for her, and the love of theater she helped cultivate in Mackenzie!
Same with Mr. Hartman...we are sure going to miss him!!
Mrs. Talley taught Mackenzie's Creative Writing class! She was also Madi's 5th grade teacher. Love her!
The sweetest friends!
Future roomies!!
BFF's!!!
Young love!
Mackenzie will miss her Junior friends so much! She loves Anna and Christina!
Cheer Grandmas! (They got to know each other at Nationals and really enjoyed doing the parents cheer!)
CRU has graduated... =0(
Walking out, Madi was thinking "Okay, now it's my turn..." =0))) Not for 2 years, sweet girl!!
Here is the video of Mackenzie opening GMa's gift!
