GNJ September Update

📣 SEPTEMBER 2025 UPDATE

This past month has overflowed with opportunities to inspire the lost to be saved — and the saved to be sent. From Edmond to OKCEnid to TulsaWynnewood to CordellPorum to Putnam City — and far beyond…  the Lord opened doors for GoodNews Journey to proclaim the Gospel and equip believers to share it boldly!

✝️ Evangelism & Gospel Proclamation
The highlight was UNITE OKC at Bricktown Ballpark, where around 6,000 people gathered for worship and the Gospel. I trained and organized a Decision Team of 120 volunteers, who guided attendees through spiritual commitments. The Lord moved powerfully, and many lives were transformed!
I also led seven evangelism sessions at the Juvenile Center, where lots of young people placed their faith in Christ.

🛠️ Training & Equipping Believers
Alongside preaching, I trained and challenged believers at PCBCGarland Road BaptistFirst Baptist Wynnewood, the Energize Conference, and the Big God, Little Church Conference. I focused on Gospel –> UrgencyFluencyStrategyMobilization, and Philosophy, encouraging believers to be equipped and unleashed for ministry. Two in-person Decision Team trainings at Olivet Baptist (OKC) prepared volunteers for UNITE’s incredible ministry.

🗺️ Statewide & Expanding Reach
September stretched GNJ across Oklahoma and connected us beyond the state. Conversations with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board may have opened doors for future partnerships, and Zoom planning with Alaska missionaries and church planters set the stage for our 2026 mission trip, with a prep trip in October. With Alaska added, our 2026 lineup now includes Alaska, Guatemala, Portugal, and Cambodia. Want to come with us?!?! Learn more HERE. Seriously… Reach out to us for questions!

👩‍👩‍👧 Youth & Next Generation Engagement
Mobilizing the next generation was a heartbeat this month through events like the See You At The Pole RallyTruth Rising at Oklahoma Christian University, and Juvenile Center ministry. Our GNJ coaching call with Rick Eubanks, founder of SYATP, reminded us of the importance of rallying a generation to prayer and mission.

🤝 Strategic Partnerships & Vision Casting
The bold vision remains: 50,000 Trained • 7,000 Sent • 100,000 Saved. Thousands are being inspired, equipped, and unleashed through preaching, training, and Gospel proclamation.

🙏 Gratitude & Support
Thank you for praying, giving, and standing with us. Through our new partnership with WatersEdge, GNJ donors can now give in creative ways — including stockcharitable rolloversendowments, and even single charity funds for streamlined generosity. Most supporters continue to give one-time or monthly gift on our website, and every prayer and gift — no matter the form — fuels more souls being saved and believers being sent. The ripple effect is growing! As year-end giving approachesplease keep GNJ in mind!

Serving with you,
Brian Baldwin

Mrs. Garner's Home Visit

We had the sweetest home visit from Jack's Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Garner! To say that Jack was excited about her coming is an understatement! Jack is learning so much more than letters & numbers in her class...Mrs. Garner teaches him about Jesus, every single day...planting seeds that we know God is using to give Jack a solid foundation! What a blessing she is to Jack & our entire family. Seems like just yesterday that she came to visit Jonah when he was in her class! We love you, Mrs. Garner!
Bonus--this made me clean my house better than I have in months! =0)
We gave Mrs. Garner some flowers, Jack made her a sweet card, and I also sent some chicken and noodles for her to have dinner with her husband when she got home. She goes above and beyond with these home visits...I've never heard of any other teacher doing this actually. Such a special thing to have your teacher come to your house and spend one-on-one time with you in your own space. I know Jack loved every minute of it!
Anxiously awaiting her arrival! =0)
Jack got to show Mrs. Garner his bedroom, his toys and his puzzles.
Sweetest ever!!!
He even got to show her his closet under the stairs! Haha!
Had to include these throw backs from Mrs. Garner's home visit when Jonah was in Kindergarten. So precious!

UNITE City Night of Worship

Brian has been part of the planning for the Unite Night of Worship at the OKC Ballpark for several months now. He helped with the invitation and assembled a group of people to be on the decision team. We just go through whatever doors God opens for GoodNews Journey, and this event was one of those. We got our new banner and table set up just in time! This was a fun night, hanging with a lot of our people--GMa, Rex, Amy, Bailey, Jamie, Andy, Shyla, Evie, the Hunters--and many more that I'm just not thinking of right now.
Jack was SO excited when he found out his best buddy was there!

The Hunt for a Homecoming Dress

After the cheer competition in Tulsa, we went to Woodland Hills Mall to shop for a homecoming dress. I really love that mall so much--for one thing, its just so nostalgic to me because that's where we went all the time when the kids were little and we lived there. It's also just a really great mall!
I do have to say--I have never felt older or more frumpy than I felt standing in that formal dress section of Dillards. Oh my word--these dresses were so short and tight fitting...yeah, I'm definitely getting old! Madi tried on dress after dress..she looked beautiful in all of them, but I love the one she picked.
