Sickness, GO AWAY!

It seems like we have been sick since the middle of January...it is now March 1st that I am sitting here blogging this. Jonah has had an ear infection and rsv twice. Mackenzie and I have had a stomach virus twice. Madison had the stomach virus once. Brian and my mom both got the stomach virus...SERIOUSLY?! I really do clean and disinfect my house, people! All this, on top of listing our house and getting ready for many house showings...it has been chaotic and very stressful for me. (Probably a lot of why I keep getting sick.) I hate it when my babies are sick more than anything in the world.
The first time we got the stomach virus, Madison started throwing up at 6:00, Mackenzie was throwing up by 9:00 and I joined in the fun around 11:30. Talk about contagious! It was terrible...at one point, both girls were throwing up in the living room and I was sick in the bathroom. Thank goodness my mom was there, because I'm not sure how Brian would have been able to handle all that on his own! That was during the same time that Jonah had an ear infection and he spent most of that night screaming. Maybe the hardest night in the history of parenting for us. On top of that, we had to get ready for our first Open House that weekend too. Too. Much. For. Me.
I am so ready for spring to come and all of this sickness to be gone.
Lord, please remove this sickness from us!

They were trying to smile, even though they were sick. (I spared you from seeing pictures of me when I was sick...it's not pretty!)

Haircut #2

We took Jonah for his 2nd haircut today...I can't believe how fast it grew! Poor little fella...he had an ear infection and had to have a steroid shot right before his haircut. I know that seems like complete torture, and obviously it looks like it was. But, we had to fit it into our busy schedule and that's just how it worked out. He does look so very handsome with his new 'do! Hopefully not every haircut will be this traumatic!
This face!
I don't know what I would've done if Daddy wouldn't have been there!
Such a sad face! He took a very good nap after this!

MLK Day at the Ministry Center

We had a work day at the Ministry Center on MLK day with the teenagers, since everyone was out of school. The kids and I weren't there the whole time, but we went to help out for a few hours. The girls thought it was such fun to sort the clothes. Mackenzie said it was like a big garage sale! Jonah was passed around among the teenagers, we ate pizza and then headed back home. This was a fun day for our girls, but it also taught them:
1. God wants us to serve him and others.
 2. There are people who don't have clothes, food, and toys like we do, so we should be thankful every day.
I think these are life lessons that we should instill in our children at this young age. It's never too early to teach them the ways of the Lord!
We found this little tricycle and Jonah loved being pushed around on it.

They loved getting to write their names on the wall at the end of the day, to show that they had come to help!
Brian thought he was taking a picture, but he was video'ing instead. Probably silly to keep video's like this, but I just think it's cute!
"Hard work" + Full Tummy =
Naptime!

"Crazy Cat Lady"

Sometimes you see things that just remind you of people you love that aren't here anymore...when I saw this "Crazy cat lady starter kit" picture, I couldn't help but thing of my GG! (great-grandma) I've never seen someone who loved cats and took in strays more than she did! I miss her so much and wish she were here to be a part of my kids' lives. I'm thankful for so many wonderful memories of her throughout my childhood!
This is a picture of G.G. with me and Madison when she was just a few months old, about a year before she passed away.

Jan Misc.

Here is the post of random pictures and videos from January. So far 2014 has been filled with sickness...it seems that we have passed one thing after another from person to person. Not fun!
I married a handsome man...what can I say? This cracks me up!
Jonah likes to hang out in Daddy's office with him!
We have more stuffed animals than I can count!
BFF's
I think Jonah looks a lot like Mackenzie.
Mackenzie made dresses out of wrapping paper. She may be a fashion designer one of these days!
Jonah is very good at throwing fits these days!
It's always Jonah and the girls!
All cozy in Pa's chair.
Baby Superman!
Jonah already needs another haircut!
Jonah likes to watch Mickey Mouse when he wakes up in the mornings.
He really likes playing with the Barbie car!
Brian was missing his charger and Madison found it for him!
Jonah wasn't feeling well one Wednesday night, so he got to stay in choir with me. He loved sitting at the table with the big kids! Once again...Jonah and the girls!
I got the kids all ready to leave one day, just to realize that Jonah's carseat was in Daddy's car...what to do?! I had no other choice but to buckle Jonah into a booster seat and drive very carefully! He was funny...he sat very still and kept looking around like, "What is happening?!"
G-Ma took the kids to Mackenzie's basketball practice one day when I wasn't feeling well. She said Madi and Jonah had the best time playing on the steps together. The quality of these pic's isn't great, but I still love them!
Mackenzie went to tumbling with Kinley one day. I ask her often if she would like to take tumbling or dance and the answer is always no. I think she would love it, but I don't want to force her into it.
