What a special time, dedicating our sweet Madi Joy to the Lord! This is something we have been meaning to do for quite some time, but we just now got around to it. It was important to me that we do it before she turned 2, so we made it just in the nick of time! It meant a lot that Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin were there to share in this time with us. G-Ma and Pa were out of town, and unable to be there, which we totally understood. Grandma and Grandpa were there for Mackenzie's baby dedication as well, so it worked out perfectly. A few days before the dedication, Mackenzie and I went shopping and bought this new dress for Madison. I am beginning to think Madison is going to be just as particular about clothes as her big sister, because when she saw that Mackenzie was wearing a purple dress, she started crying and pointing to it and saying "purple!" I guess she wanted to wear purple too!

Katelyn Easterwood & Madison got to share a special morning! Katelyn accepted Jesus into her heart and came forward to share her decision with the church the same morning as Madi's dedication. 
Mackenzie was feeling a little left out, so we took another one! If only Kinley were there too!

When I took the bird from her, this is what happened...a complete falling down fit in the floor! Ha,ha!
This was a great day, but it was also hard for me because I was sick. As soon as we got home, I came down with the stomach bug that the girls have had this past week. NOT FUN! Why do these things always happen on days that Brian is really busy and can't be at home? The poor girls pretty much had to fend for themselves and eat whatever they could reach in the pantry, which consisted of Pop-Tarts and peanut butter crackers! I am feeling much better today, so that is good. I will remember this day for a long time, that's for sure!
We had such a fun time at Andrew Cupp's 5th Birthday party in Cushing! Mackenzie wore her "Supergirl" outfit that Grandma Baldwin got her & her butterfly mask. Madison made her appearance as "Ladybug Girl" and her mask stayed on for about 2 minutes! She woke up throwing up the night before, so she wasn't feeling all that well. The cookies & cupcakes were a big hit & looked so cute together. We miss our friends, the Cupp's! It was such a blessing to spend some time with them!

I really don't get it...this is what Mackenzie's room looks like CONSTANTLY. And I clean it CONSTANTLY! And I get onto her and make her clean it CONSTANTLY. And yet, it happens over and over again. I know Mackenzie is partly to blame, but the answer to the question "HOW does this happen?" is....M-A-D-I-S-O-N! So I guess I should stop blogging and go clean it up since she is in bed...that way it will at least stay clean for the next 8-10 hours while she sleeps!
Let me begin by saying that Madison is NOT going to be a big sister! Mackenzie picked out Madison's clothes today, and this is what she chose out of her dresser. What blows my mind is that Mackenzie was younger than Madison is now when we found out she was going to be a big sister and she wore this shirt. That is just crazy! Anyway, I had to take a picture of Madison in it because by the time she really is going to be a big sister, she definitely won't fit in this shirt anymore! Also, I cut Madi's bangs last night and she looks so grown up now. Her expressions are hilarious! She loves making "big eyes" because she knows we laugh every time! Her two favorite words are "Mommy" and "Mine!" She still loves babies, and will defiitely make an excellent big sister one of these days! I just can't believe how big she looks to me today...it's as if she went from being a baby to being a big girl overnight.

More Big Eyes!
I was working at the computer today, and heard Mackenzie say, "Come here and let me check you!" to Madison...which was soon followed by a "Shooooo-eeee!" Of course, I quickly grabbed my camera. This was a moment that was meant to be captured! So funny! Now if we could just get Mackenzie to actually change those diapers! It won't be long and Madison will be ready to start potty training...she already brings me a diaper and the wipes when she needs her diaper changed. Soon, very soon!

For quite some time, I have been wanting to paint in Madison's room. I just couldn't decide what to do! Finally, I decided to just do SOMETHING! So, Wednesday I got out my paintbrushes and went to work. I painted butterflies all the way around her room in about 4 hours...while the girls were with me! I actually finished painting while Madison took a nap in her bed. I was just very quiet! I love doing special things like this for my girls. It was all worth it when Madison woke up from her nap and pointed and smiled at her butterflies! I have also been on the hunt for a new curtain and lamp for her room. I was so excited today to find a lamp on clearance at Target for $7.50 and a vallance at Lowe's for $11.00! That's a bargain! I found this cute rug at Target too, and had to have it! Decorating is so much fun, and I love Madison's happy little room!
Don't look too close...they aren't perfect, but they are cute!
Madison is finally starting to spend a little more time in her room! She still likes her sister's room the best though.
It won't be long and Madison will outgrow her baby bed, but for now, it works! I'm not ready to move her out of it yet! For more than one reason...first, there is no way she would stay in a toddler bed at bedtime, and secondly, I just don't want her to be a big girl yet!
