Fort Worth Zoo

On Friday, we went to the Fort Worth Zoo, after having a delicious breakfast at the seminary. (I'm all about food these days!) We have been to this zoo a couple times before & we always have a great time. I had fun on this trip, but I still wasn't feeling great & walking around the zoo made me extremely tired! I think the highlight of our day was the lion...you can see him in the picture below of Brian & the girls. He was roaring over & over....something we had never heard in real life before. It was very cool! We also had a lot of fun with the bird exhibit. After a couple hours at the zoo, we went back to our room & rested for a while before meeting up with Sam Griffin, one of our former students, for dinner. Then the conference started for Brian & the girls and I just hung out and relaxed. This was a fun "mini-vacation" and made me really want to plan another trip to Disney World!

Mackenzie would say, "Momma, this would be a great place for a picture!" That's my girl!

We took the train from the back of the zoo, to the entrance/exit...I was SO glad we didn't have to walk all the way back!

I'm not sure what she was pretending to be, but she was shaking her tail feathers. This was the "end" of our zoo trip!

Swimming at the Seminary

On Thursday evening, we went swimming at the seminary pool. The girls were so excited about wearing their matching bathing suits that Grandma Baldwin bought them a few days before our trip. How cute are they?! They had a great time playing in the little pool with Daddy. I am convinced now more than ever, that we have to get Madison into swimming lessons this summer. She is a little fish & isn't scared of the water at all. She would go completely under & Brian would have to grab her up out of the water, and she would come up laughing! Mackenzie, on the other hand, still doesn't love the water & definitely doesn't go under. They had so much fun swimming that I ended up taking them back to the pool on Saturday while we waited for Daddy to get out of his conference. We always have a fun time at Youth Lab every year.

I added this video just for fun...we actually had this piano in our room at the seminary! I'm glad our room wasn't close to any others, because there was sure some "pretty" playing going on! I had to keep reminding the girls to play on the "rain" side, not the "thunder" side.

Grapevine Mills LegoLand

We went to Grapevine Mills Mall for a while on Thursday afternoon & ended up at Legoland, after a train ride through the mall. I don't know that I would pay the money (it was way too expensive) to do Legoland again, but the girls loved it so I'm glad we did it. Well, they loved all but the 3-D movie, which left them both crying in our laps. (The picture taken below of them smiling was before it started!)

There were learning how Lego's are made. I love that Mackenzie is "protecting" Madison!

Mack's hair was looking a little wild...she is very into headbands & fixing it herself.

Mackenzie loved the giraffe made out of Lego's, and of course, she said, "Ms. Janis would love this!" Ms. Janis is one of her ELP teachers this year & she loves giraffes. Every single time we see a giraffe, Mackenzie thinks of Ms. Janis...it is very sweet!

Daddy had a lot of fun on this ride...
