Anxiety (Is More Than) Lack of Faith

I came across this image the other day, and I was like "woah..." that is the clearest picture of all the ways anxiety presents itself that I have ever seen. It really gets under my skin when people have this attitude that anxiety is something you can just pray away. As if you don't have enough faith, if you struggle with anxiety. I guess that can be true in some cases, but for people who really have an anxiety disorder, well...its more than just praying it away. I have learned that more and more over the years, as I have struggled with it, and even more in the past few years as Brian began to struggle with it, in relation to his POTS syndrome. For me, anxiety most often presents itself as irritability, overindulgence, lack of concentration and avoidance. I think every single person struggles with anxiety on some level, at some point in their life...how could you not...but I pray often for my kids, that it isn't something that they have to carry on a daily basis. 

Carvers 5th Birthday Party

We celebrated Carver's 5th birthday at the Science Museum (or Omniplex if you ask me) on Saturday! The kids were all very excited to spend a few hours playing there & we had a great time celebrating sweet Carver!

These two are pretty good buddies!

Jonah LOVES this Bible story superhero/comic book. And we love that he loves it! We read from it pretty much every night before bed. 

I was doing so good with Weight Watchers, trying to lose a few lbs before our Disney & NYC trips...

...but then there's this...a girl can only eat so much lettuce and veggie straws!  

Jonah had a few birthday gifts to exchange & some money to put with it, so he picked out this very cool Avengers Lego set!

Jonah was ready to spend the weekend at G-Ma's house while Daddy and I went to Florida! Looks like he had all of the essentials packed...no telling what he had inside of that tackle box! 

Mackenzie dressed up for "Cowboy day" one Friday! How completely cute is she?!

I met Kayla, Amber, Brandi & Mindy for lunch at Salata one day & then we went across the street to shop at Tee for the Soul. Sure do love these friends! 

Wednesday night youth service at EFBC.

Jonah was invited to Barrett's birthday party...it was so fun...and rainy! 

Madison is such a good little teacher! She loves to play school with Jonah & most of the time, he cooperates! 

Brian and I went out with these fun couples to celebrate Kayla's 40th birthday. We went to dinner & then did an escape room. It was really hard & we didn't escape, but we had a great time and laughed a lot!

I did gender reveal cookies for Jake & Courtney's baby reveal...we are so excited that they are having a boy and can't wait to meet sweet little Lincoln in February! 

I think Jake was excited it was a boy! 

Jonah and Mackenzie guessed right, and wore blue for a boy...Madi was Team pink all the way. 

Brian's missionary friend, Oskars, from Latvia spent the night at our house during September. We took him to Chili's for dinner with the Phares's, and then Brian took him around downtown OKC the next day.
