Jonah's birthday fell on the second day of school. It seemed so strange to me to not spend the whole day with him, but I knew he would have fun at school! I made Mickey Mouse cookies and took them to share with his friends. When we got there, the kids were just waking up from their naps. I'm not sure if Jonah really knew what was going on, but we sure had fun celebrating his birthday with his new classmates! Ms. Becky had a little toy birthday cake with candles that lit up that Jonah got to hold while everyone sang Happy Birthday to him. I guess this was Jonah's first "friend party!"
Waiting patiently for his cookie! Cutest 2 year old boy EVER!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Jonah Mark!! It just does not seem possible at all that it has been two years since this precious boy arrived into our world. He makes every day more fun, and sometimes more challenging! Jonah's birthday fell on the second day of school for him, so we woke him up by singing Happy Birthday and then he had a fun day at ELP. I was a little sad to not spend the whole day with him, but I didn't want him to miss school. After school we had corn dogs at Sonic, came home and opened a few presents, and then we went to the splash park and playground in our neighborhood. I think it was a fun day for Jonah! We are looking forward to his birthday party in a week or so.
When it's your birthday, it's okay to eat rice krispy treats for breakfast!
And eat corn dogs for a snack...
We had been in our house for two weeks at this point!
Madi picked out this little Mickey Mouse phone for Jonah. He opened it first and then was not at all interested in the other gifts he had. (Which greatly upset Mackenzie because he wasn't as excited about her gift as he was about Madison's.)
He also got a new Mickey Mouse cup and a sleeping mat for school! We went with functional, necessary things that worked for gifts since they had Mickey Mouse on them!
Mackenzie got Jonah a Mickey Mouse DVD!
The great thing about this age is that they don't realize if you rewrap a present that they got last year but you never opened because you already have SO many toys! He loved it even more the second time!
But, all he really wanted to do was play on his new phone!
He also got his first piece of mail at our new house, a birthday card from G-Ma!
We thought about going to Chuck E. Cheese or something fun like that, but then we decided to do the thing that we knew Jonah would like the best...go to the playground!
