Little Swimmers

Swim lessons were a total success this year! The girls both did great & are swimming very well! They both went off the high dive several times, which is always scary at first, but they did it! Jonah's first time off the board is something I won't soon forget. He was definitely protesting & I was just so glad Brian was there to help him! It was adorable watching his little class of 2 year old boys walk to the diving board holding hands each day. By the end of swim lessons, he was even trying to jump in on his own, but he wouldn't jump out and he bumped his little bottom on the board. Thankfully he didn't hurt himself! It's kind of a chore going to ORU every day for two weeks, but it's definitely worth it to know that our kids are becoming comfortable and safe in the water. I missed a few days the second week because I wasn't feeling well, but Daddy went and took lots of pictures for me!
I love these little swimmers!
Here are a ton of pictures and video's, in no particular order.
G-Ma got the girls new goggles for swim lessons.
Every time Jonah saw us, he came running to us and we had to take him back to walk with his class.
The first time they went to the board, they just sat on it and the teacher walked them out on it a little ways, just to get a feel of it.
He went stiff! LOL!
Poor little thing...Momma doesn't like it when her baby is scared!
But, he was all smiles once he realized he didn't have to go to the end and jump off!
This was the next day...time for the real deal! He protested "no, no, no, no" all the way to the edge of the board. I'm just glad his Daddy was right there with him!
He was totally fine once he was in the water!
Jonah's first time off diving board! He wasn't too excited...
Fly, birdie, fly! I'm pretty sure this is Mackenzie's first time off the high dive. She just hopped right up there and did it!
Those are some wrinkly little toes!
This was on our way after VBS one day!
The girls asked Jonah "Kelsey questions" all the way to swim lessons!
This is not exactly a pencil stance!
This was Jonah's second time off the diving board...it was much easier than the first time.
I'm pretty sure she was waving to Katelyn on the high dive!
