Jack is my shadow, for sure! Where I go...he goes! He is the biggest Momma's boy & I'm just trying to soak up every second with him at home this year. I know he will be ready for school next year, but I will miss having him with me during the days. However, things like shopping and getting my hair done will be so much easier!
I cleaned my jewelry drawer out the other day & found these little gems tucked away in there! (Along with 3 mouthfuls of baby teeth!!!) =0))) Mackenzie's P.S. in this letter above is hysterical! Can't stop laughing! And her addressing the letter to "tf"...hahahahaha!
Translation - "A tooth can wiggle. You can put it under your pillow."
I'm not 100% sure, but I think Jonah may have written this one.
"Our Family Is So Happy" ... I hope that's how my kids always remember their childhood!
Basketball Homecoming was at the end of January, while Brian was in Brazil. This is always when the cheerleaders get to do a co-ed routine with the boys, and it's always fun to watch. I'm just glad my girls aren't the ones being launched to the ceiling of the gym! GMa and Poppa & Louise came to the game to watch the girls cheer. I was definitely missing Brian at this point and couldn't wait for him to be home!
Brian was gone on a mission trip to Brazil for 11 days, from Jan 21-31. He was actually on a boat going down the Amazon River for much of that time, and there were several days when we had no contact at all. That was a weird feeling! I'm so glad he got to go on this trip though and it sounds like it was an amazing time. There have been some changes with his job this year, and it looks like he won't be traveling quite as much. We still aren't sure how to feel about that--it is part of his job that he really loves, so he's sad about it--but it will also be good to have him home more. We are just trusting that God is in control and His plan is always best, even when things don't always go the way we want them to.
From Brian:
"I was incredibly privileged to spend some time with Kent Jaggers & Joshua Holland on the Amazon River to prepare for our GoStudents Brazil project happening in July. See link below.
We're partnering with a great ministry called Ray of Hope Amazon. Patrick & Gloria Reynolds and their team are amazing! They help groups like us share the message of Jesus with those deep in the Amazon who have very little access to it. It's something I'll never forget!
The trip is pretty much full for this summer, but let me know if you're interested for 2025. There's still space on several of our other projects. Application deadline is Feb 12!
I'm so thankful to Candace Baldwin for sacrificing again and again to send me off to places like this. This was a long one. Thank you my love! See you soon..."
