Celebrating with Friends

On Jonah's birthday, we invited some of his friends from OCS over for a little party at our house. We really didn't know his classmates at CHA well enough at this point, and it was fun to see friends from Pre-K! The boys played outside & upstairs, had some yummy snacks & cupcakes, and then Jonah opened his presents. I think they all had a fun time! This was Jonah's first "official" friend party...next year, we will celebrate big with his friends when he turns 7!

Jonah's Birthday Celebration at School

Jonah's birthday was a busy day! Daddy and I went to the school and had lunch with Jonah and then took cookies to celebrate in his classroom. I'm pretty sure Jonah was the first in his class to celebrate his birthday! Mrs. Garner and his classmates sang a few birthday songs and Jonah got to pick something out of the birthday box! Daddy got to say a prayer for Jonah too, and that was special. We sure love our big 6 year old!

Mrs. Garner is soooo sweet! We are only a few weeks into school and we love her already!

How precious is the look on his face! I'm sure he was thinking "I can't wait to show Madison that I got a kitty, just like hers!"

Good Morning, Birthday Boy!

We tucked in a 5 year old...

and woke up with a 6 year old! 

And somehow he already looks older to me!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JONAH MARK!!!

It's kinda become a tradition at our house to be woken up with the "Happy Birthday" song and breakfast in bed, followed by a few presents! Jonah still manages to sneak down to our room most nights and end up either in our bed or a pallet on the floor, so he got his breakfast in our room!
