The month of May seemed to fly by in some ways, and seemed to drag on forever in other ways. It was kind of divided into two parts...Part One: Finishing School and Part Two: Madison's Bike Accident. We are usually focused on moving to camp as soon as school is over, but that wasn't the case this year. I will admit that I wasn't sad to see May come to an end...I was ready for June & ready to get this baby here!
Here are some of our misc. moments from May!
This was quite a pallet the kids made! We did spend a LOT of time together on this couch, watching movies and playing XBOX...it just is what it is right now!
Pony was checking out the Pack-n-Play to make sure it's ready for the baby!
The girls are lots of help in the kitchen!
Jonah was totally fine and then all of a sudden he said he felt sick at his stomach and he was pale as a ghost...it scared us for a little bit, but thankfully he went to sleep and woke up feeling fine the next day.
They decided to have a sleepover in the playroom upstairs one night.
There were CONSTANTLY blankets everywhere in our house!
The kids spent a few nights with G-Ma, so we got to relax a little. We had to run to the store once and this is what we looked like..haha!
Madi and I have mastered homemade chocolate chip cookies!
This is definitely a new favorite at our house! My second time to make mashed potatoes...I've conquered that skill!
"Tim the Tool-Man" style sweeping at its finest! #getsthejobdone #waybetterthanabroom
Jonah has his own system and takes his pretty little time when folding his clean laundry!
Oh goodness, look at these cheeks!! I still have this dress...I wonder if we will have another baby girl to wear it!
A quick-lapse, brought to you by Madi!
Lunch break outside!
After two months of not being able to see each other, we finally let Jonah go over to Owen's house for a play date during the last week of school! It looks like they had the best time and they even got to do their very last class zoom call together from Owen's house.
May 8th, 1996 is where it all started...wow...24 years ago! Ha! Yeah, we're not old!
Mackenzie finally got to go to the orthodontist! Because of Covid and the office being closed, her appointment was pushed back almost 2 months. We are still hoping to get her braces off sometime this summer. I just love this sweet face!
Brian finally was able to take Jonah for a real haircut on May 8th! We made Jonah wear this mask and he was not a fan. At all!
TWENTY years ago...wow! And we're having a baby in a month...lol...now that's funny!!
As I've been working on transferring all of our mini DVD's into digital files on Dropbox, it has been so fun & sweet to watch video's of the kids from when they were little bitty! This video of Mackenzie dancing with G-Ma made me laugh so hard! Such sweet memories!
I took this picture on May 20th, the day of Madison's bike accident that happened later that evening...it's amazing how in a matter of minutes...seconds, really...things can go from "normal" and "good" to "terrifying" and "awful."
Exploring an area in our neighborhood and picking flowers for Momma!
Just a little "Swingin' In the Rain"
Brian is pretty much sleeping on the couch every night now, because I get up so many times in the night and its just easier for us to both sleep this way. Jonah has claimed this spot by Daddy on the couch too!
Finally, on May 29th, after THREE MONTHS and endless dark roots, I got to have my hair done!! I was so, so happy to be able to do this before the baby comes!
We ventured out on Saturday for a short time, and went to look for a recliner for our living room...we struck out and couldn't find anything that would be in stock before the baby comes, which was a big bummer. But oh well! Madison had fun riding around in a wheelchair & we made everyone wear masks.
