Football Homecoming

We finished up the month of September with the Homecoming football game. This was the 3rd and 4th graders night to run out of the tunnel too, so that was fun for Jonah! Mackenzie is still loving the mascot thing! Every time she does it, she seems to get a little more comfortable with it. I am amazed that she can keep that helmet on for as long as she does. I am way too claustrophobic and could never do it! Friday night football games are the best! We love our school!
Jack keeps everyone entertained at the games!
So. Ornery!
I love this picture, because I can see her eyes!

Boys Trip to the Eye Dr

The kids were out of school on Wednesday for Parent/Teacher Conferences, so I scheduled Jonah's yearly eye exam with Dr. Groves in Tulsa. This is the only Tulsa doctor that we still see, but I just really like him and think its worth the drive. Jonah doesn't like getting his eyes dilated at all, but he was very brave. He tried on some glasses, but his prescription really hasn't change, so Dr. Groves said we could wait another year before getting new ones. He did tighten up his glasses so they won't slide down on his nose so much. Jack tried on some glasses too, just for fun! I hope he doesn't ever need them, but he would sure look cute in glasses if he does! After Dr. Groves did Jonah's exam, I asked him when Jack should have his first eye exam and he acted surprised that we hadn't already done that. With the track record we have...all 3 big kids have worn glasses at some point...Jack needs to start eye exams now. Dr. Groves was nice enough to just go ahead and dilate Jack's eyes (much to Jack's extreme displeasure--you can imagine how fun that was) and do an exam while we were there. For now, his eyes look great! Maybe he will break the cycle and be our one kid with Brian's good eyesight!
Jack did not want to wear the dilation sunglasses at all...this is half smile and half cry right here. He took a good nap when this was over!
Jonah's hair was looking good on this day!
Jonah liked this pair, but they looked really big to me. I'm glad we get to wait another year before getting a new pair.
Oh my word! =0)))

Eli's Extreme Animals Party

Eli had an Extreme Animals birthday party at the Blanchard Library and it was a lot of fun! The kids loved holding all of the different animals. Jack was a handful, as usual, and wanted to run wild and be in the big middle of everything. He had a few fall down fits, but other than that, he had a great time. Oh, and the big yellow snake was named Jack too! =0)
Happy Birthday to Elijah!
Jonah was content just touching them real quick...he didn't want to hold them!
Jack doesn't look too sure about this!
Get me out of here!
No, really...stop taking pictures and get this snake off of me!

September Misc

Here are some misc pics from September! It was nice to finally be settled and back into the swing of things with somewhat of a normal schedule.
Football homecoming week, Starbucks vs Dunkin'! This was a fun, simple one!
Where Jonah is, Jack is these days, and its a big bonus if Jonah's friends are there too!
Truth!
Also true...
This was one of Madison's assignments...I feel like this needs to be framed! Amazing!
I think this was in a program for the state cheer competition.
Mackenzie (Cru) helped with the cheer clinic on the day the kids were out for parent/teacher conferences. She is having the best time with this!
Jack loves to "do" rhythmic writing with Jonah! So so funny!
We had to get a new refrigerator and a new microwave in September. Never fun to spend money on things like this.
But it sure looks nice!!
Little hand prints!
Breaking up is hard to do...Mackenzie broke up with David towards the beginning of September. I was very proud of her for doing this, because she knew it was the right thing to do even though it was hard. This was a text she sent to me on the Sunday afternoon that she decided to break up with him.
I decided it was time to sell Jack's little crib, since he's too big for it and won't sleep in it anyways. Sad to close this chapter...(for real this time!)
We have been kicking around the idea of selling our house and maybe building on GMa's property. I'm not sure its something we will ever do, but looking at these beautiful house plans is sure tempting!
Sometimes you just need a brownie fudge sundae from Braums!
Jonah is getting used to his new bike!
The boys went to Awanas at the beginning of the school year for a while. Jonah didn't stick with it for long, because it was just too much to add more "work" to what he already does at school with discovery.
Jack had a fun time in Puggles!
This is how Jonah filled out the first part of his Awanas book...I laughed so hard! I hope he decides to aim higher than a cook at McDonald's for his career someday!
"I am normal." hahaha!
The first OKBYC concert of the year!
Sept 20th...go away summer!
We got to celebrate Carver's birthday at GMa's house!
I was working hard on Jack's stocking to have it done for Christmas.
Brian is doing an interim at FBC Tulsa this Fall, so we miss him being at church with us on Sunday mornings.
Jack usually goes to his class on Sunday mornings, but he wasn't feeling great this week, so he stayed with us and took a nap during church.
I don't remember what this was for, but this is part of Mackenzie's connection group at EFBC.
