Pretty Pony

Sometimes a girl just needs a little pampering, ya know?! Pony's hair has been very, VERY loved, make no mistake about that! We gave her a good scalp massage and soaking with fabric softener & then rinsed and blow dried her hair...I mean, she was looking quite beautiful by the time we finished with her! =0) Madison still loves this little Pony dearly...to the point that she has asked me if Pony can go to heaven with her when she dies someday. Yep, that much...
I mean, really?!

2nd Place Winners

Mackenzie's team played their hearts out and finished the tournament with a 2nd place victory! There were a couple of really good teams in their age bracket, and they played hard and improved so much this season. I really can't believe this was Mackenzie's last basketball season before starting school ball...I mean, just look at this picture of my little baby at her very first basketball game ever! I feel like that was just yesterday...waaahhhh!!! Mackenzie was sad that they didn't win this last game & shed many tears over "just" getting 2nd place, especially since Madison was toting around her 1st place medal. But that's part of life, right? We win some and lose some, and have to learn to be good sports no matter what.
Even though Mackenzie didn't get to play with girls in her grade, other than Brooklyn, I'm still really glad she played basketball this season. It was great practice for her before next year. Hopefully she will love school ball too!

Tournament Champions!

Madison's basketball team finished strong by winning 1st place in the big tournament at the end of the season! It was so much fun watching them play hard for this win & it was a nail-biter for sure! While Madison was always nervous before the games, I really think she had a great time and this helped her develop new friendships this year. She's already not sure if she wants to play basketball next year, but I'm hoping she decides to. She's almost too sweet to be aggressive enough, but I think she has great potential to be an amazing basketball player! She was very proud of her 1st place medal, especially since Mackenzie's team won 2nd place in their age bracket. I was proud of her...she didn't rub it in...but there was some definite pride there that she had a 1st place medal and her big sister didn't. Ha!
Here is a mix of pictures from the tournament games they played this weekend...we were at the gym Friday evening and then again from 8:00 AM until around 5:00 PM on Saturday!
Look at those smiles!
