Driving + Family + Driving + Wedding + Driving

We went to Lake Eufaula for the day on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. We were also invited to Roman & Mackenzie's wedding in Bristow. Brian thought it was somewhere else, closer to Lake Eufaula, so he made these plans to leave the kids at the lake while we went to the wedding. Welllll...Bristow is a long way from Lake Eufaula, and its not that far from Edmond. But, by the time we realized that, the plan was already in full swing for everyone to be at the lake for the day. Mackenzie decided to go with Brian to the wedding and I stayed at the lake with the other kids. They came back and got us afterwards and we drove home. So needless to say, it was a long day of driving, especially for Brian and Mackenzie! But it was great to spend time with Grandma Baldwin, Uncle Danny & Aunt Amy, and sweet Harper!
Jack did not like me holding Harper! Silly boy!
Mackenzie got to know Roman on the Portugal trip last summer, so she was very excited to go to his wedding!
Connie saw a BeReal that Mackenzie posted at the wedding and she texted me and said she did the cake and cupcakes for that wedding. I quickly texted Brian and asked him to bring me one! I should have asked for 4, because between Madi, Jonah and Jack, I think I got one bite!

Madi's Last Day of Freshman Year

Madi has officially finished her Freshman year! She survived!! The beginning of this school year was very hard. I think she begged for the entire months of September and October to be homeschooled. No doubt about it, Secondary at CHA is a ton of work. She persevered though, and we are so proud of her! Geometry especially, was a huge challenge this year and we are ALL glad that is over!
YEA FOR SUMMER!!!

Mackenzie's Last Day of Jr Year

Somehow, here we are on the last day of Mackenzie's Junior year in High School. I remember going to the "Go Big Blue" secondary orientation when she was in 6th grade, and thinking "how will I ever be able to stand it when she's a senior?" Well, we're almost there & I'm still not sure how I'm ever going to let her go! For TODAY though, we are celebrating the end of a wonderful Junior year & we are so happy that Summer is here! She's not "officially" a Senior yet...right?! Ugh...I know that she is, I'm just not ready to accept it. We went to Graduation later on this same day and I cried through the whole thing. It may be a very long year for Momma!

Jonah's Last Day of 5th Grade

We forgot to take Jonah's last day of school pic until later in the day, and he had already changed clothes. Jonah has grown in every way this year & we are so proud of him! I can't believe my baby boy is going to be a big 6th grader next year. I feel like he just started Kindergarten at CHA last year! The older my kids get, the faster time goes...

Jack's Last Day of "School"

First Day/Last Day of school for Jack! He has grown so much this year & is starting to lose that "baby" look. I have enjoyed this last year with him at home so much! I will definitely miss him next year, but I know that he is ready to be a Crusader in PreK!

Jonah's Last Day of School Party

Jonah's last day of school was on Wednesday and it was a whirlwind! We had a Summer themed party and then had the end of the year assembly. Brian was already at Falls Creek, so Jack "got" to come to the party too. (not to be confused with "had" to come to the party too.) Jonah has really excelled academically this year & we couldn't be prouder of him! He got all A's and B's, Academic Honor Roll this year, with hardly any homework or study help from us at all! He also got the "Question Master" award from Mrs. Choate, for always thinking of a question to ask. That made me laugh...he does like to ask questions! By the time we left the school at noon, I was exhausted and so glad Summer is officially here! Well...sort of...the girls had one more day, so technically we weren't quite there yet.
April is the best Homeroom Mom & she made it so easy for me this year.
My main job for this party was to put the teacher gifts together.
Jack LOVES being in Jonah's classroom. He's like the little mascot or class pet when he's there and gets so much attention. He thinks he's just as big as everyone else!
By the time we got to the assembly, Jack was pretty much done being good.
The Jonah bulletin board stayed up all year! =0) We got to take the little surfing Jonah off and take him home with us!
We did it!! On to 6th grade...
