Best Dressed Baby

I love dressing Jack up for church on Sundays! He looks like a little old man and it's the cutest thing ever. I still haven't put him in the nursery, so he comes to connection group and church with me. He's a stand-in for Brian, since he's still doing the interim in BA. I know its probably time to think about the nursery, but with covid and it being winter, I just feel better keeping him with me for now. He is starting to be a little noisy in class, but so far it has been manageable. It never fails that I have to take him out to feed him at some point, no matter how hard I try to plan around that.

Homecoming Pep Assembly

Homecoming week ended with a Pep Assembly at the end of school on Friday. Because of Covid, only members of the basketball teams families and those in the homecoming court were able to go to the homecoming ceremony, so we were off the hook for that night. The Jr High girls performed their routine that they did at competition. Madison always gets so nervous anytime she does something like this, but she always does great. She's too much like her Momma in this way! They actually had two pep assemblies, one for elementary and one for secondary. G-Ma came to the second one and then the kids went home with her to spend the night.
We love our school!
Madi & Olivia have really gotten to be good friends in cheer this year. Such a cute pic!
Jonah sat with his class to watch the pep assembly.

Homecoming Week

I say it every single time we have a homecoming dress up week...I have a love/hate thing with it...it's a ton of work and always ends up costing a lot of money, but the kids love it and have so much fun, so it's worth the time and effort.

Monday was "Dynamic Duo" day. Madison & Olivia were Thing 1 and Thing 2 and Mackenzie & Shelby were Rapunzel & Pascal. I was very unsure how that was going to turn out, when Mackenzie wanted to go as a green chameleon, but it ended up being pretty cute! And very original! I think she had to answer "who are you supposed to be?" over and over all day, because she doesn't have many classes with Shelby. It made sense when they were together, but not so much when they were separate. Jonah didn't dress up on this day.

Tuesday was "Toy Story" day and this one was fun! Jonah went as Woody, complete with a pull string and a "snake in my boot!" LOL! His huge blue snake was the only one we could find, so we just went with it. Mackenzie was Slinky's butt...hahaha...and her friend, Daelyn was the front of Slinky. I loved their creativity on this! And Madison went as Ham the pig, of course!

Wednesday was "Star Wars" day and all 3 kids had fun with this one. I found a Jedi costume on FB marketplace for really cheap for Mackenzie. We found a piece of black fabric to make a cape for Darth Vader, and we used an old angel costume from G-Ma's church for Madi's Princess Leia. So fun!

Thursday was "Zootopia" day, and by this point I was worn out! Jonah wore the costume that Mack wore on Monday, but this time it was a frog inside of a lizard. lol! It had a tail though, so he told Mrs. Whitten he thought he was a tadpole! hahaha! Mackenzie wore the pig ears that Madi wore on Tuesday, and Madi just wore a fuzzy pink headband that sort of looked like bear ears. Hahaha! I mean, I think it all still counts as participating?! I was done spending time and money on costumes by Thursday.

Friday was spirit day, so CHA shirts for the win!

Monday

I was actually pretty proud of how this turned out! I searched long and hard for all of this green stuff.

Toy Story Day!

I told Jonah to have Mrs. Whitten pull his string and say "Hey, Howdy, Hey, My name's Woody!" but I think he was too embarrassed to do it.

I made him do it at home though!

Star Wars Day!

The force was strong at our house this morning!

Animal Day:

Mrs. Whitten's room is decorated in frogs, so Jonah was all about wearing this costume to school. When she asked him about it, he told her he was a tadpole. LOL!

Jack just sat back and watched the crazy that happened as we got ready every morning.
