Special Times

We spent the last weekend in February in Tulsa for Kinley's birthday party and Kelsey's baby dedication. The Easterwood's are dear friends, but they have also become family to us over the past few years, and we weren't about to miss it! Kelsey is a sweet blessing from the Lord and I love her so very, very much. I will never forget getting to see her in the NICU the night she was born. She weighed less than 2 1/2 lbs...so tiny.
There is not a day that goes by that I don't feel a little sad that we had to move away from our friends. On the bright side though, the time that we do get to spend together is that much sweeter!
I think the quote "God made us best friends because he knew our moms couldn't handle us as sisters" was written about us!
After Kinley's party, we stopped by to see Aunt Barbara & Uncle Alan for a little while. We spent the night at the Steen's, which was fun...a blast from the past, getting to sleep in our temporary summer home from a few summers ago!
We loved getting to be a part of the family on Sunday!
The guys were all partied out! LOL!

Happy Birthday, G-Ma!!!

We celebrated G-Ma's birthday at our house with her a few days early. She and Rex and Poppa and Louise all came over for hamburgers and hot dogs. The kids helped make cupcakes for G-Ma and they even provided after dinner dancing entertainment! So fun! These are the times when I'm thankful we live closer to family now. We love G-Ma SO SO much!! She blesses our lives in so many ways. Above are some of my favorite pics with G-Ma!

Our Happy House

We have kind of taken a break from doing house stuff for a while, just because it costs money, but there were still a few things that I really wanted to get done. First, I have wanted to print these family pictures that we had done back in October of 2015, for a very long time. There's a part of me that gets sad when I look at them, because that was also when we took our pictures showing that we were pregnant with our surprise 4th baby. But I still love them and I am so happy with how this turned out on the wall going up our staircase. I have also looked and looked for just the right rug to go in our dining room under the table. I was totally getting frustrated and overwhelmed so I had Brian sit down with me and we picked this one out together from Target, and I LOVE it! I also put up new curtains in the kitchen, and Brian installed pendant lighting over the bar. Love, Love, Love! But then that made me think we had to switch out the globes over the kitchen table to match the pendant lights! It was fun to do a few things to the house before all of our family came for Madi's birthday party. We are still working on making it our own and having things settled the way we want them. We're getting there! I think it's a pretty happy house!
What a man, what a man, what a mighty good man!

Feb Misc.

February was full of all kinds of fun every day moments.
Here they are...
Above: cuddling on the couch during the Super Bowl.

I can't decide if this is sweet or sad...I think both!
We stopped by for a quick visit with Uncle Alan & Aunt Barbara one weekend when we were in Tulsa.
Madi loves playing school with her stuffed animals! Her room looks like this all the time, too. Doesn't bother her a bit!
Check out his handsome new work pic!
Brian opened the grill to do hamburgers and got a fun surprise! Haha!
Lunch date at Chickfila.
I took the girls swimsuit shopping at the mall one day. I spent a lot of time in February shopping and getting ready for our upcoming Disney trip, without them even knowing about it.
They were so funny trying on swimsuits! I wish I had an ounce of the confidence in a swimsuit that they have! Oh, how I wish their sweet innocence would never go away. Why does body image have to become such a hard thing as we get older? I pray that they always know they are beautiful and special just the way God made them!
Brian took Mackenzie to Life.Church to see her friend, Kristen get baptized one Sunday.
My mom brought up all of these old books that I read when I was about Mackenzie's age. So fun to look back through them! I wish I were a kid again, so I could just sit and read them all day! So far Mackenzie doesn't seem to be too interested in them.
I got to meet my sweet friend Lori to do our nails one Sunday afternoon. It was a much-needed time for me. Love and miss her so much!

I was a little distracted when I picked my colors, and this is what I ended up with. I don't love it, but oh well!
Best moment of the Super Bowl! I don't even know who was playing!
Love it when we get to just relax at home together.
Mackenzie is learning to play the guitar at the Arts After School program. She's very excited about it and they even gave her a loaner guitar to taken home.
She couldn't wait to show her Daddy!
The tooth fairy has totally dropped the ball around her.
Popsicles in the sandbox with the neighbors on a pretty day!
Mackenzie's 4th grade class went to the Capitol for a quick field trip. It was weird for me not to go, but I had Jonah and just couldn't make it work this time.
The day I delivered the Wallace cookie order, I also made a dr's appt to get some med's refilled. Jonah just couldn't take it anymore. I don't get to hold him like this while he sleeps very often anymore, so you can bet I was soaking it up!
Jonah is the best cartwheeler I know!
Brian and I did a Q&A thing at Jamie's Open Door True Love Waits conference. It was fun & we went on a late night IHOP date afterwards since G-Ma had the kids!
Brian took the kids with him to a speaking event one Sunday night. I know, crazy huh?! I think he could tell I needed a break! I went shopping by myself and enjoyed some peace and quiet. I was ready for them to be home by the end of the night though!
We had fun playing Pictionary one night...
Mackenzie is quite the creative artist!
"Deer Tick" LOL!
 "Book Worm"
And this one was mine...it's not my finest work...the girls thought it was a minion...LOL...it is a bikini! =0))) We had such a fun time laughing together!!
Looking for ideas for Madison's upcoming birthday.
I don't remember what was going on here...but it looks like it was very sad. I'm hoping since I can't remember, it wasn't too big of a thing.
Madi & Pony, still best friends forever!
My babies are growing up way, way, way too fast!
The kids and I met G-Ma in Mustang to watch Alexis in the musical Shrek. It was so cute, but it was long and very late by the time it was over. Alexis was the Sugarplum Fairy and the Gingerbread Man...she did amazing!
Jonah brought his dragon book and "read" it.
Mackenzie just had to have a picture with Donkey!
Mackenzie & her friend, Ava partnered up to sell slime for a fundraiser thing at school. Only problem was figuring out how to make it!
This is another one of those pictures that I have no clue about...but it's sweet anyway!
