Indiana Jones and his "Cowgirl"

After Noah's Ark, we met Uncle Clint and Aunt Abigail at Braum's for a late dinner before G-Ma and Poppa drove back to Newcastle. They surprised us when they showed up in costume, as Indiana Jones and his girlfriend. (Not sure what his girlfriend's name was!) Madison thought she was a cowgirl, thus the title of this post! Even though we both live in Tulsa, we don't get to see Clint & Abigail very much, so it's always a treat when we do. We were all exhausted by the time the night was over. This was a very Happy ending to our Halloween!
Uncle Clint really liked Jonah's camo and said he would be taking him hunting in a few years. Man, I wish my Dad were here to be in this picture too.
They are going to have beautiful babies someday!
The girls fought over who got to sit by Aunt Abigail, so she got sandwiched in the middle. Mackenzie had all she could stand of those braids...love the crimped hair look!

Noah's Ark

We look forward to Noah's Ark every year. It's hard to believe this is our 6th year to do it. The girls loved riding on the giraffe, tiger, and horses, they had their faces painted, played lots of games and got tons of candy, jumped on the moon bounces, and had a blast the entire time! This is one of my favorite events of the year that our church does.
We were so glad G-Ma, Poppa Jim, and Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin could all be there. We had an entourage...nobody wanted to miss out on this fun! We had a very Happy Halloween!
The girls absolutely adore Pastor Ted. They want to say hi and give him hugs every time we see him! I love it that he takes the time to make them feel important and they have this kind of relationship with him.
Mackenzie wanted this fancy thing painted on her face, of course and Madi asked for a cross. It was simple and she loved it! This is very true to their personalities. They are so alike in many ways, but very different in so many others.
Madison was so excited to see Ms. Alice, one of her favorite Sunday School teachers, at Noah's Ark!
Our annual picture with Emma and Aubrey. How fun will it be for these girls to look back at these pictures when they are teenagers!
Everyone loved it that Brian and Jonah matched. We even had people scheming up ideas for what they could dress up as next year!
Love this picture of Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin with the kids!
This is Madison and her friend, Claire. Madison loves Claire and talks about her all of the time!
Here are some more pic's of Mack with her friends: Bo, Hayden, Hallee, and Aiden.
We had a lot to keep up with! At one point, this is what G-Ma looked like carrying all of our stuff around!
Then we added Jonah to her armload!
This was too funny...I looked over and G-Ma had Madison's Rapunzel braid on her arm, and it looked like Jonah was wearing it. =0)
FULL buckets of candy...just what I need while I'm trying to lose weight. =0////
All loaded up and ready to meet Uncle Clint and Aunt Abigail at Braum's after Noah's Ark.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. Things were finally starting to get back to a new "normal" at this point, since Jonah was born. I was the only one in our family not dressed up. I told the girls I was going as a "Mommy." =0) I thought about going as a laundry basket, with clothes pinned all over me. I feel like I can never get caught up with the laundry these days, so that would have been very fitting. But too much work! I like my "Mommy" costume just fine. =0)
Halloween was on a Wednesday, so G-Ma and Poppa Jim drove up after she got out of school. They are so wonderful...it was important enough to them to be there, that they drove all that way, just for a few hours, and then they turned around and drove back home. We are so blessed to have them! They came to the house and we had just enough time to take some pic's before heading to the church. It was a beautiful day outside, and everyone was all smiles!
My heart is so full of love!
So silly!
What in the world would we do without G-Ma?! We love her like crazy!
Look at those blue eyes!

That's a big yawn for such a little boy!

They love each other...most of the time!

Pocahontas

Mackenzie was the cutest Pocahontas I have ever seen! Her posing was hilarious. She kept wanting to crouch down and walk the way Pocahontas does on the movie. I went to a lot of trouble with this costume...specifically the shoes! The Disney Store didn't have them in store or online, so I bought them on ebay for $23, which was way overpriced. But, I wanted her to have the complete outfit, so I bit the bullet and got them. When they arrived, they were way too small. Great! So, I called every store in Texas the week before Halloween until I found a store that had the next biggest size. I paid $17 for them and had them shipped. They didn't arrived until the day before Halloween and they were HUGE on her feet. What in the world?! So basically, I paid $40 for Mackenzie to have shoes to match this outfit that didn't fit her. My blood pressure is rising just thinking about it...I tried my best, but it was definitely frustrating. She didn't mind though, she was just glad to have shoes to wear. Ever since Mackenzie friend, Bella was Pocahontas last year, she has wanted to dress up as Pocahontas too. This was the perfect costume for her this year.
Here is the crouching pose...
There was like an inch and a half of extra room at the back of her shoes!
I don't want this little girl to grow up. What ever will I do when she stops wanting to pose for pictures? That will be a sad day, indeed.
