Let's Play Ball!

After just 1 practice, Madison's tball season started with a tournament. She had games on Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Sunday afternoon. I'm not sure she fully understands what to do when she's out in the field, but she does like to hit the ball! We have some work to do on learning to move toward the ball when it comes in your direction...at this point, she just kind of stands there and waits for it to roll right into her glove! I am so excited that she is getting to play tball this spring! I think it will be so good for her physically, and I'm hoping it will build confidence and help her come out of her shell a little bit and make some new friends. I love that she is a "Shooting Star" and gets to wear red, white and blue uniform! The socks are my favorite! I probably took way too many pic's of her, but she was just so stinkin' cute in her uniform! She will have games on Tuesdays and Thursdays during April and May, which will make our busy schedule even crazier, but we are looking forward to it!
She and Pony were sharing a little snack of Fritos before the game!
I think she was a little nervous before the first game, but she did great!
Of course Pony came to watch and provide moral support!
Warming up before the game...
Madison's helmet was very tight, and Daddy had to help her get it on and off most of the time.
It was CHILLY at the game. You'd think at the end of March it would be warming up, but that was not the case on this weekend! Here's the fan club...
After each game, the girls have a little team meeting and then get a snack. Madison can't wait until it's her turn to bring the snacks!
Madison has the sweetest, most giving heart...she shared her cookies with Mackenzie and even fed them to her so she could stay wrapped up in her blanket. I love that!
Game 2 on Saturday morning:
After their game on Sunday, each of the girls received a medal for playing in the tournament. Madison thought that was just the best thing EVER!
