Settling In

After spending a few relaxing days at home, we did make a quick overnight trip down to FC to get our stuff settled in a bit and spend some time with Daddy before camp started the next week. It's really amazing how much stuff it takes to basically move our family down there for the summer. Even the fish got to come this summer! Haha! Once we got everything unloaded and organized in our luxury one bedroom villa, we explored Boulder Springs, drove around on the golf cart and the kids loved playing on the ramps at the amphitheater! We were there the night all of the Summer Staff gets ICEE's too, so of course we had to stay up until 11:00 for that!
Looking forward to a great summer!
How completely adorable is she!! (She brought at least 10 stuffed animals with her to camp!)
I wonder how many trips up and down these stairs we have made! Thankfully, there have been no wasp stings in the process.
Here's the set-up!
I know I kind of grumble about being so cramped in here all summer, but I KNOW we are always going to look back on these times and smile!
Not sure what this face is about!
The Explorers!
Check out our stack of T-shirts! 5 shirts x's 5 people = A whole new wardrobe!
Get it, Madi!! LOL!
Doing a little "schoolwork!"
He's official!
It was extra fun that Daddy got to serve our ICEE's!
Always Cherry for Jonah, Dr. Pepper/Cherry (but mostly Dr. Pepper with just a little bit of cherry at the top) for Mackenzie, and Madison mixes it up and sometimes does Cherry, or Dr. Pepper, or Cherry Dr. Pepper! Plain old Coke for Momma!

Some Down Time

There are two set-up weeks at FC before camp starts. The kids and I went down for a few days during the first week, but I decided we needed some down time at home the second week. We don't really get to have a normal summer at home at all, so it was nice to spend a few days doing whatever we wanted. We slept in, went to the Edmond library, spent some time at G-Ma's, stayed up late watching tv, had some family "Draw So Cute" time on the couch together...it was fun and relaxing, and just what we needed before the first week of camp started!
OH!! And this was a good part of the week too...the Trailer Park taco from Torchy's...my new fav!
I'm not exactly sure what this fit was about, but I know he wasn't getting what he wanted...and he was  letting know about it. Life is just hard sometimes, Jonah...
I think we are all pretty good artists!! I was really impressed by Jonah's determination and perseverance!
Playing in G-Ma's Library one last time since she is retiring.
Those boots, though...
We even got Poppa Jim in on Draw So Cute! He's pretty good at drawing a piece of pie!
