I. Miss. This.

I have such a love/hate thing with the TimeHop app...I love looking back and sweet pictures from over the years, but it also breaks my heart sometimes! Look at these precious babies! How in the world did they get to be 8 and almost 11 years old?! I truly do love and enjoy every stage of their lives, but I. Miss. Having. Babies. There's a big part of me that just wants to say, "I NEED ANOTHER ONE!" But then there's just as much of me that shouts back, "NO YOU DON'T"! You know, it's a funny thing...until I got pregnant with our surprise 4th baby that we ended up losing at 11 weeks, I didn't even think about adding another baby to our family. I was completely content with our 3 perfectly healthy and beautiful kids. I have written about it before, but I really struggled with the idea of having that 4th baby...I wasn't sure I could handle it and not sure that I wanted to go through all of that again... and just about the time I was getting excited and used to the idea, I lost the baby. I still struggle with understanding why that had to happen. I don't know what our final decision will be about adding another baby to our family or not, but for now I'm not ready to do anything drastic to close or open that door. I think I'll just stare at these pictures for a while and then go kiss my big kids until they make me stop!
No wonder she's always loved stuffed animals!

March Misc. Part 2

The saying "There's no place like home" is very true...except when it comes to Disney World. Haha! Here are some misc. pics from the last part of March, after we got back from our trip. It's always kinda crazy trying to unpack and recuperate from a long trip like this.

Oh, Charlie! Being a dog owner has definitely been a new experience for us. Giving him baths is my least favorite thing in the world to do. He really likes to dig too, so he's dirty all of the time. Charlie got to stay with Grandma & Grandpa Baldwin while we were on our trip. It was so helpful and nice of them to keep him for us!
You know what the end of March means? It means its time to get ready for taxes. UUUGGGHHH!! I literally start thinking about this in December every year and start dreading it until it gets done in April. Maybe if I had a better organization system, it wouldn't be quite so bad, ya think?!
Another extremely not fun thing we had going on was cleaning out our garage and getting ready for a garage sale. There were still a bunch of boxes out there that hadn't been unpacked and it was quite a job. I'm just always so glad when its done!
The best way to start a Saturday morning...cuddled up with cartoons and pancakes!
I told Jonah to get ready to go, and this is how he showed up...hat, sword, pajamas (no undies underneath) and Spiderman rain boots. LOL!
Madison's 2nd grade class had a field trip to the Cowboy Hall of Fame, now known as the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
Sweet, sweet friends! I am so thankful for Adlee and the friend she has been to Madison this year!
Happy little cowgirls!

You better believe this made my day!
I am enjoying my extra time with my little buddy at home this year! We were a little stir-crazy at home, so we decided a trip to Chick-fil-A was a good idea. Jonah was really excited to see the cow!
Bahahahaha! Madison was not a fan of selling any stuffed animals in the garage sale! She managed to rescue all of these puppies and return them safely to her bedroom!
One of Madi's favorite things to do these days is to play school with her stuffed animals. It really is the cutest thing!

Daytona Beach

We had less than 24 hours at Daytona Beach, but we just couldn't be this close to the ocean without stopping! We would have loved to stay longer, but the girls were already missing 3 days of school, so we had to get back. And let me just tell you...the fact that we're wearing swimsuits is very deceiving...it was COLD! The only water I got in was the hot tub! As we were pulling into Daytona Beach, we realized that our brake pads had worn through the rotors and needed to be replaced (I think I got that right)...a phone call to a mechanic who came to our hotel to fix it & $350 later...and we were back in business and ready for the long drive home. Ugh!! These are the kinds of unexpected expenses that are never fun, but can't be avoided. We played in the sand and water for a while, then got cleaned up and went to Bubba Gumps for dinner and then to see the new Beauty & the Beast movie. Which was SO good, by the way! Our room had a balcony right on the ocean, so we slept with the door open and it was such a beautiful sunrise to wake up to. Brian and I laid there and watched the sun rise while the kids slept, then it was up and at 'em and time to hit the road. This was a much needed vacation for our family, and I was sad to see it come to an end. The past year and a half has definitely been challenging for us, so this was a fun escape to just get away and enjoy being together.
There were some sand toys at our hotel that we got to use, but the sand was too soft to really build anything.
I was out there, but I was FREEZING!
Oh man, this makes me laugh! This was while we were waiting for Daddy to check us into the hotel & also waiting for the mechanic to get there to fix our tires. Might as well do a little yoga!
On our balcony!
This is how you watch a movie, right here! Except Jonah sat in my lap the entire time, because the Beast was a little scary.
How cute is Jonah's little "bed"?! He loved it!
I wanted to just freeze time and lay there all day looking at this beautiful sunrise.
They totally missed it...
How precious are they?! My heart just melts...
Now, back to reality...
