April Stuff

This is a totally random post, with a bunch of different pictures & video's from April. It seemed like the month just flew by, with Easter at the beginning of the month & the garage sale at the end...

We had lunch one day at the beginning of April, with Krista & Brody Smith and Amanda, Abigail, & Claire Cupp. It is always fun to get together with friends we don't see very often.

We went shopping at Children's Place one day & while Mackenzie and I were looking at something, Madison put about 6 headbands on her head! Shopping is fun, but it absolutely wears me out! How am I ever going to do it with 3 kids?!

G-Ma came up for a KIPP fundraiser event with Clint & Abigail and we got to "babysit" Chloe for the evening. The girls were very excited about this! Chloe likes Madison...she just hops right up on her lap. I'm very glad that the girls are comfortable around her. She's just their size! We took these pictures & texted them to G-Ma so she would know that her "baby" was doing okay!

Mackenzie went "shopping" at our garage sale & came back in the house with this "outfit" on! I jokingly said if we had sold everything the girls carried back into the house from the garage, we would have made $100 more! It is hard for them to part with some of their toys, but we really have no choice...we just don't have room! And I always remind them that if they want to continue to get new things, then we have to get rid of some of the old things that they don't really play with much anymore. The garage sale was a lot of work, but we made $1500 when it was all said and done! Praise God!

Our garage was a mess for most of April! I really don't know how we accumulate so much stuff!

Poor Daddy...the garage sale just wore him out! He was working on his computer one Sunday afternoon & I looked over and found him sound asleep. Sunday afternoons are great for taking naps anyway!

Our girls & the Easterwood girls have a lot of fun together! You can definitely tell these are sets of sisters!

We have been so blessed by the McCullough's...they have given us a lot of things for our baby boy, including a bassinet & this baby swing. The girls have had a lot of fun with the swing...a few days after we brought it home, I found Woody & a little duck rocking in the swing, with this umbrella over them. Oh, this little boy is going to have lots and lots of attention & love from his big sisters!

The girls stayed in Daddy's office for a little while one day while I went to the dr...he made them a "movie cave" under his desk.

The girls had several fun activities planned toward the end of ELP...one of them was the "Bike Rodeo." They both had a blast!

BounceU Birthday Parties!

At the end of April & beginning of May, the girls were both invited to birthday parties at BounceU. 

Madison went to Savanah's 3rd birthday party. (This was the weekend of our garage sale, so Brian took her. He did very good & took a few pictures for me!) 

Mackenzie was invited to Kanan's 6th Birthday party a few weeks later. BounceU is always a lot of fun!

Regent Preparatory School

We have prayed and prayed about what to do with Mackenzie for Kindergarten. It is so hard for me to believe it is already time to make that decision...wasn't she born just yesterday?! We have enjoyed ELP so much these past two years, and it's hard to imagine her going anywhere else. We have talked a lot about our options: Homeschooling, Public School, or private school at Regent. My biggest concern with Homeschooling this year is that the new baby will be here right as the school year starts, and I'm not sure I can handle that. I don't want to have a bad experience due to that, and I just don't feel like that is the right choice for now. On the other hand, I can't begin to imagine sending her to public school at Jenks West, 5 days a week, all day. The thought makes me feel a little sick, actually. I just can't do it. The third option is to do Kindergarten at Regent Preparatory School, which is what we have decided to do. In the beginning, we really didn't know if this would be a possibility due to finances, but God opened some doors for us, and we are very excited and thankful to say that Mackenzie will be in the Enrichment III program (Kindergarten) at Regent next year. I have such a peace about this decision! There are so many wonderful families in our church that attend Regent, so she will have many friends there. She will go on Tuesdays/Thursdays, the same days that Madison will be at ELP, and she will be at home with me the other days of the week. When trying to decide if we should spend the money to do this, I finally came to the conclusion that not only were we paying for a great year of education for Mack, but we were also "buying" three days a week with her. I can't think of anything I would rather spend money on! I would love to say that we are planning to put our kids through all of their school years at Regent, but that is just not a financial possibility. After this year, we will probably give Homeschooling a try. I think if I didn't at least try it, I would always wonder if I should have. We will continue to pray, seek, and trust the Lord for his will in this area of our lives. 

STBC Fashion Style Show

The girls were asked to be a part of a "fashion show" announcement during the late service this past Sunday.  An amazingly talented lady at our church is teaching a class next Monday night on how to "re-purpose" fabric that you already have to make girls' dresses and hair accessories. At the workshop, we will be making clothing to donate to the Ministry Center that our church sponsors. We will leave with the patterns and the "know-how" to make things for our own daughters! (Jill, if you are reading this...yes, I copied your blog...I hope you don't mind, but yours sounded way better than anything I was coming up with!) =0) 

Mackenzie called her outfit a "ranch dress" and on the way to church, she said, "Momma, I wish I had a lasso to hold!" Cracked me up!!! She is so funny! She also wanted to know if they were going to be introduced one at a time, like "Introducing, the pretty Mackenzie..." And no, I don't make these things up... Maybe she has had too much positive reinforcement in her life?! All of the girls were very hyped up and excited about getting to do this. It is fun to watch them together. G-Ma was glad that she got to be there for this too. Just a few minutes before the service, Madison said she didn't want to do it...uh-oh! But, since her Sunday School teacher, Ms. Alice was doing it, she went along with it. (She LOVES Ms. Alice!)

I'm so thankful that Mackenzie has such wonderful friends at STBC! How fun to watch them grow up together.

I don't know what Madison was doing...she was kind of marching through most of the announcement!

At the end of the announcement, Dave came up "modeling" some accessories...I love these pictures that Robin Curry took of the girls' reaction to Dave dressed up this way...they thought it was just hilarious!

Mackenzie thought it was very funny that Katelyn was like Madison's "big sister!"

It just so happened that Mackenzie & Kinley were paired up & Madison & Katelyn were paired up! They were all four very happy about this situation.

21 Weeks

I am 21 weeks pregnant & I was so excited to finally get to see a picture of this baby boy's face...I am already so in love with this little guy! What a little miracle he is! He is always quick to remind us that he is a boy, but this was the first time that we have really been able to see his face. He's so cute already, and I'm pretty sure he's going to look like his Daddy! Everything looks good, but at our appt today, we found out that he has a Choroid Plexus Cyst in his brain, just like Madison had. Dr. Nilson was very reassuring that everything else looks very normal & it is probably something that will go away soon, without any problems at all. His heart, arms & legs, and all of his other body parts look perfect...in fact, he is actually measuring bigger than average. Still, you never want to hear that there could be a potential problem with your baby. When I was told this with Madison, I was so scared & upset...this time, I know more about it & I feel much more confident that it isn't a big deal. However, we are still definitely praying for a healthy baby boy! We go again in 3 weeks to make sure everything still looks good. I can't wait to hold this baby in my arms!
