The girls had their Spring Concert Monday night, and they sang beautifully! I'm so glad they are in choir and we can watch them sing together. (Also--I've tried all year to get used to these black choir dresses, but I just can't help it--I still don't like them at all. I wish they could wear whatever cute, colorful dresses they want...just my opinion.)

Grandma Shaw
While we were in San Fransisco, I found out that my Grandma Shaw wasn't doing well. Alzheimer's is the cruelest disease. We got back from San Fransisco on Saturday night and Brian & I went to see her on Sunday afternoon. I kissed her head and told her she was a wonderful Grandma and I loved her very much. I prayed that God would take her soon, and he answered that prayer early Monday morning. I'm so glad we made it there in time to say goodbye. She has suffered for many years, and I love to think of her, whole and healthy in heaven with my Dad and my Pop. My heart is sad that she is gone, but in many ways, she has been gone for a long time already. Heaven is even sweeter now that my Grandma is there.
Here are just a few pictures of that I love of my Grandma Shaw.

Dare2Share Gospel Advancing Summit
The Gospel Advancing Summit was on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. It was fun to see all of our Dare2Share friends again, especially so soon after seeing them at the President's Gathering in February. Brian got to speak for a few minutes during the first session, and he also taught a breakout session. Brian loves Dare2Share ministries and he tries to bring as many OK Youth Pastors as he can to things like this. This was my first time to attend a Summit & I loved being there.
Here is Brian's FB post :
"So thankful to have gotten to be a part of Dare2Share Ministries Gospel Advancing Summit again! Seeing youth leaders rise up from all over the country was so refreshing. Watching new Oklahoma Baptist Youth leaders catch the vision, and going deeper with those who already have, was such a joy! We also had so much fun on our rapid fire tour around the San Fransisco Bay area."
I love Dare2Share's approach of "Every Teen Everywhere...Hearing the Gospel from a Friend."
There's a bit of a height difference between Ege and Jamie. =0)
Friday Summit pictures:
We went to the Friday morning sessions and then we took off after lunch on a little "field trip" to Muir Woods. We were back in time for the evening session.
They did a sort of commissioning service on Friday evening, where everyone was given a coin and prayed over.

The conference wrapped up on Saturday morning and then we flew home.
Traffic, trying to get to the airport...ugh!
Not creepy at all...
We had a connecting flight in Las Vegas.
Ready to be back home with our babies!
