Branson: Part One

We went to Branson over Labor Day weekend with the whole fam and we had the best time! The past year has been very hard on our family as a whole, so it was great to spend some time having fun together.
We got there late Friday evening, so we slept in a little on Saturday and then went to the fish hatchery, had lunch at Branson Landing, and then went to the Acrobats of Shanghai show. We went back to the resort for a while and then ended the night at the Branson mountain coaster ride. We waited in line for over an hour, but it was so much fun! Jonah didn't want any part of it, so Daddy sat out with him. It was a fun first day in Branson!
Didn't love this show, but it was okay.
Danny and Amy went to see Samson, so the rest of us went to the mountain coaster. I was a little nervous because I've never ridden one of these before, but it was so much fun.
So I thought this would be a good idea...
...but it didn't end so well. Eek! There was a bit of a collision and a few tears, but thankfully no major injuries.

Party Time at Bouncin' Craze

We invited all of the 1st grade boys to celebrate with us at Bouncin' Craze on Jonah's birthday, after school. It worked out great because it fell on a Wednesday and they had a half day. A few of the boys met us there, but most of them rode with Brian or me from the school. It was a bit more chaotic, getting them all loaded up and transported, than I thought it would be...but we made it! We had hot dogs and cookie cake at the end of the party, (after all of the bouncing was done), so I had goldfish crackers and cheese sticks for them to snack on beforehand.
This was our first time at Bouncin' Craze and it was pretty much every 7 year old little boys dream...great big blow up bouncers all over the place and lots of room to run and play. It was definitely a little wild in there, and I was just glad no-one got hurt! I am so thankful for these friends God has put in our lives at CHA over the past year.
I'd say Jonah felt celebrated and special, so I think it was a very good birthday for him!
G-Ma and Daddy were enjoying the massage chairs!
At one point we looked over and one of the boys was on TOP of the ninja turtles bouncer...EEK!!! Scared me to death, but thankfully we got him down quickly and he wasn't injured in the process! Boys are fearless!
Not the best thing I've ever made...but the boys didn't complain.
Trying to get them to all cooperate for a picture was tricky!
All I can say about the present opening...it was complete chaos. No other way to explain it!
We kind of ran out of things to do before the party was over...so Brian tried to entertain them!
Sweet friends!
