A Successful Soccer Season

The girls both had a great time playing soccer and I definitely think its something they would both like to do again. And, the best part is that they both scored a goal during the season! Mackenzie's team was tied at the end of one of their games, so they went to a shoot-out, and when it was Mack's turn, she kicked the ball right in the goal. It was SO exciting, I almost cried! That single moment was worth every penny & every minute spent on soccer this Fall. Madison's goal was awesome too...she was in the right place at the right time and her goal happened so fast that I had no warning and I wasn't able to video it. Brian had told her before that game that he would give her $10 if she scored a goal...I looked at him and said, "Really?! TEN???" So she went out there and earned her $10! Actually I think she earned $13 because Brian also told her he would give her $1 for every time she stole the ball away from the other team. She needed incentive to get in there and be aggressive!
Mackenzie got to play goalie during one game and she got very discouraged because the other team scored on her 3 or 4 times. She tried her best though, and we were proud of her! Both of the girls did so well and ran their little hearts out. Soccer is a great team sport, and such great exercise! There were a few tears during the season, but they both gave soccer two thumbs up in the end. Their games went from mid September through mid November.
Here are pictures and video's of our games throughout the season:
One of my favorite moments ever...
Cheerleaders & Soccer players!

It was always easy to spot Madison in these lime green socks!
Jonah was so cute cheering for his sister!
"Get the ball, Madi! Get the ball!"
After Madison scored her goal...that's one happy girl & one proud Daddy!
Mack playing Goalie...she tried so hard!

Madison was so excited when it was her turn to bring the treats for her team. She picked Gatorade and chocolate cupcakes. I'm sure all of the parents loved that at 10:00 in the morning!
We didn't have official team pictures done, but we got the girls together to take this picture after their last game.
Mackenzie's soccer team had a little party at Mazzio's to celebrate the season and the coaches handed out awards to each girl. Coach Mooberry was a wonderful coach! He awarded Mackenzie the character trait "diligent" because she persevered and tried her best with a good attitude. This was just a few nights after we had the miscarriage, so I missed the party but Daddy took her. I was glad he took these pics and video so I could see them!

Noah's Ark

After trick-or-treating, we were off to Noah's Ark. I love looking through pictures of the kids playing these same games at Noah's Ark over the years. Above is a picture of Mackenzie with her friends Enma and Aubrey. We have pictures of them at Noah's Ark nearly every year since they were babies. We played games, got lots of candy, and the girls got their faces painted. What a full, fun (exhausting for this sick pregnant momma) day!
They did this over and over...the only tragedy of the night was when someone accidentally bumped Mackenzie in the face. There were a few tears, but she was okay.
So glad G-Ma was there to help keep up with everybody!
Well, that's one way to get the ball in the hole!
Sparkles the Clown is always at Noah's Ark!
Mackenzie, with her fellow Star Wars friends, Caleb & Caden.
LOL! Not sure what this is about!
Ended the night with a pony ride!

Trick-or-Treat

We  had so much fun trick-or-treating with the Easterwood's! Kelsey even got to go with us & she was the cutest little ladybug ever! The funniest moment of trick-or-treating happened when Jonah walked up onto a porch and there was a broom that popped out and started moving by itself...he shot off that porch so fast & he was pretty much done trick-or-treating after that. (It was so funny, but sad too.) We trick-or-treated for about an hour and then headed to the church for Noah's Ark. On our way, we stopped at Mrs. Andrews house to trick-or-treat. She had invited her class to come by and Madison was so excited to see her teacher!
I am very thankful for these friends that we love so much & get to experience fun things in life with!
How fun that Brian was dressed up in his Star Wars costume too! (I think Obi Wan??)
Woody was along for the ride too!
Precious girl!
These people went all out on their decorations!
"I've got my candy, now I'm OUT of here!"
Madison with Mrs. Andrews!
