Cheer Showing

The girls had practice on Saturday morning from 9-11, and then the showing was at 12:00 for family and friends. This was my first time to see any of the All Music routine & it was fantastic. They are ready for Nationals!! Their gift this year was a carry-on suitcase with the cutest luggage tags. They're a bit small, and I really didn't think all of their stuff was going to fit, but somehow they got it all in! Addi came with us to watch the girls, which Madi loved!
Let's go win Nationals, girls!
Oh but wait...we forgot one! =0)
LOL! Jack always comes away from being around the cheerleaders with at least one lipstick kiss on his cheek! Most of the time its from Madi!
Praying for a safe, fun trip!
Shelby, Mackenzie, Madi & Kenzie are rooming together.
Sweet friends!
Here is their All-Music routine! I love it!
And here is Game Day! Hopefully Mack's shoes don't fly off like this when they do the actual competition! So good though!
Madi's group also did their stunt comp routine. And the girls sent this video to say "thanks" for their suitcases!

WHAT DAY IS IT?

These quotes are hilarious & 100% accurate! I really love the week between Christmas and New Years, when things finally slow down. It's like I can finally take a breathe and rest, after running a month long marathon. I definitely enjoyed finally being able to sit on our new couch! We did do a few productive things this week too...we took down our Christmas decorations and got the house back in order (always sad, but necessary), and Brian tackled the tile in our shower...he can't handle sitting around with nothing to do for very long! I love the new tile we picked--it reminds me of Portugal. Another fun thing we did was go see the new Wonka movie, the day after Christmas. We all loved it and can't wait to watch it again when it comes out. The girls had cheer practice most days, to get ready for Nationals. The McConnell's also invited us over for dinner one evening, and it was so fun to spend time with friends. Thankful for some down time, before going to Florida for Nationals and starting the second half of the school year.
So good!
7-11 snacks & drinks + $1 hot dogs at the movie theater = winning!
This is a pretty accurate video of what we did a lot during this week!
Poor Madi! This is one way to stop your nose from running, I guess!
And just like that, Christmas is officially over. As much as I love Christmas decorations, it does clutter things up and it always feels good to get everything cleaned up and back in its place.
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE our new couch?!
What they didn't tell us at Home Depot was that after a few months, this tile would start peeling off. NOT. GOOD.
I still love it though, I just wish they would have told us at Home Depot that this wasn't a good option. We are amateurs and just didn't know. It's okay though, it is still pretty, even though it is peeling in a few places. I'm trying to be low-maintenance about it, because it was a ton of work and I don't want Brian to have to deal with it right now.
Mackenzie found some stylin' pants that totally give CRU vibes! =0) I'm not sure when she'll ever wear these, but she had to have them.
Lots of cheer practice & getting ready for nationals next week!
Jack's getting the hang of this driving thing!
Dinner at the McConnell's!

Madi's "Copon Book" for Momma (circa 2018?)

I love it when I come across things like this...I don't even know what year Madi made me this coupon book...maybe 4 or 5 years ago...but what a precious, thoughtful gift! She may be in full-blown teenage mode now, but her precious heart is still the same! I'm gonna keep this coupon book forever...I'm gonna need to cash in this Hug certificate soon though! =0)

Christmas at the Lake

We had a great time at Grandma Baldwin's house on Christmas Day afternoon/evening. I always wish we had more time to spend there with everyone, but we make the most of the time we do have.
I didn't do a Christmas card this year, no cute matching Christmas pj's...but here we are in all of our "fighting off sickness" glory! My first thought when I looked at this family picture..."wow, I really look so tired!" I guess that's what decorating almost 2,000 cookies & making Christmas magical for your kids at the same time will do to you!
We played a different version of Dirty Santa this year, and it was really fun. We each brought gifts, but then Grandma Baldwin also had a bag of gift cards that we drew from to go with whatever gift we opened. We all went home with great gifts & gift cards!
That's a wrap on Christmas! It was a good one!
Weston and Jack are a force...they are both the baby, both very strong-willed and determined to have their way, neither of them likes to share, and they are both too cute for their own good! I'm not sure what the problem was here, but Jack clearly wasn't very happy and Weston was trying to make him feel better.
Madi just gets more beautiful every day!
Grandma Baldwin was so happy to buy Mackenzie roller-blades, because that's something she bought Brian (a few years ago) when he was a kid!
Jack didn't waste any time with his apple!
Jack loves his Momma! =0)
My favorite humans in the whole wide world! So, so blessed to call them mine!
