Trick or Treating with New Friends

On Halloween, we went over to our new friends from church, the Thompson's neighborhood and went trick or treating with them. Their neighborhood really goes all out and there were so many houses giving out candy. The kids rode in the back of Randall's truck part of the time, but we realized pretty quickly that with Jack we weren't going to move as fast as the big kids! It was a chilly night and a school night, so we didn't stay out too long...just long enough to collect a lot of candy. I was really glad the girls joined in the fun! I love all of their costumes so much, and they didn't cost a fortune so that makes it even better. #winning
Happy Halloween!! I think Fall is finally here!
Cutest Rudolph ever!
Mackenzie is going to make a great nurse someday...she fits the part perfectly!
Our OU football player with his warm scarf!
And our blue-eyed Batman!
Madi's BeReal!
The girls were good sports about this all younger boys situation! =0)
Best part...checking out their stash!

School Night Sleepover

Our friends, the McConnell's, spent the night with us on Monday night. We usually wouldn't do school night sleepovers, but Matt & Kelly were out of town and we were happy to help out! The kids were all ecstatic about this situation actually, as you can imagine! They're such great kids, so it was easy and fun. I made dinner & then let the kids decorate cookies, which they all enjoyed. Then they did homework and surprisingly went to bed at a fairly normal time! Our first school night sleepover was a success!

WHBC Trunk or Treat

We went out to GMa's on Sunday night and went to Woodland Hills for Trunk or Treat. It was rainy and cold, so they had to move it inside, so there weren't actual trunks, but it was a lot of fun. The girls decided at the last minute that they did want to dress up for Halloween, so we ran into Wal-Mart and came up with these costumes real quick-- we found scrubs on clearance for Mackenzie CHECK, Madi went with an adorable comfy and warm Rudolph onesie that she can also wear at Christmas CHECK, and Jonah wanted to be an OU football player so he just wore a jersey he already had CHECK. Then there's Batman! =0)
CUTIES!!
We called Poppa and he hooked Jonah up with a Sooners hat! We knew he would come through for us! Louise had hip replacement surgery the week before this, so we stopped by Mustang to take them some dinner and show them the kids costumes on our way out to Newcastle.
Love it!
Cake Walk
I made the girls play too, lol!
Look how happy they are about it!
The Pennington's had friends with a Ghostbusters car. So fun!
