Noah's Ark

It is hard to believe that this was our 4th year to be at STBC's Noah's Ark Carnival on Halloween. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess! While we had a great time, this proved to be a little stressful for me. Even with three adults, it is hard to keep up with a 4 year old and a 1 year old at something like this! Madison just really wants to do her own thing these days, and has a lot of fits. I jokingly put on my FB status, "I should have let Madison dress up as herself for Halloween...she would have made a great little monster! Terrible Two's are well under way at our house...5 months early!" when we got home. After just an hour and a half, I was worn out! The girls played some games and got some candy, but mostly we waited in line for balloon animals and to have their faces painted. I was signed up to work a game from 7:00-7:30, but thankfully, Brian did it for me! (Love that guy!) The girls loved the tunnels and the moon bounce! By the time we got home, they practically fell into bed...and so did I! I am EXHAUSTED, and looking forward to a slower week. I am so thankful for our church, and that we have wonderful events like this to be a part of. We are truly blessed!
We have pictures of Mackenzie and Emma at our first Noah's Ark, when they were babies. Mackenzie had just turned 1. It is fun to watch them grow up together!

Going fishing! It is fun to take pictures of the girls playing the same games each year and to look back and see how much they have grown. Last year, Madison was just a little baby and this year she could play most of the games! Madison helped herself to plenty of candy!
Mackenzie really liked playing the games this year!
This little roller coaster is always fun! This year, Madison was big enough to ride too!Once again, Madison told everyone "Ta-to" when they gave her candy, because her big sister said it too!Madison had the hang of getting candy...she would help herself to several pieces every time! The tunnels are still a favorite! Mackenzie & Josie This is Madison's little friend, Gwen Pierce bouncing with her! She was the cutest little Raggedy Ann doll! Madison's happiest part of the night!Having a blast! What can you do, but smile?!
Daddy's Sweet Little Minnie Mouse! Mackenzie got a heart wand and Madison got a giraffe. (Which she untwisted less than a minute after we got it!)
The face painting is always Mackenzie's favorite! We waited for a LONG time to do this... Madison sat pretty still, but smeared her flower about 5 seconds after it was painted!
Such beautiful face painting! It was worth the wait, I suppose!
This is what Madison looked like for much of the night...don't mistake this for a smile. It most certainly was not! She did love the part where she got to eat a corndog though...her favorite thing to do in life!

Happy Halloween!

What can I say, this was a weekend full of fun activities and LOTS of pictures! I am exhausted! We went to church on Sunday morning and then spent a relaxing day at home. The weather was so beautiful that we played outside for 2 hours. Uncle Clint came over to see the girls' in their costumes just before we left for Noah's Ark. I am so glad my mom was here to spend this weekend with us. She stayed for Noah's Ark and then drove home.

Pa & G-Ma bought the girls' Halloween costumes this year...(thank you!)All I wanted was a cute picture of Madison sitting on the porch...look at this stubborn face!
Loved the shadow! I couldn't help but think about how much work Madison would be at Disney World right now, since she was Minnie Mouse! I am glad we took her when she was 8 months old instead! Hopefully by next November she will have grown out of some of this stubbornness! "Let me back inside!"
Madison was overly affectionate with Uncle Clint...she kept giving him hugs and cuddling with him! He was loving it!
Mackenzie's Jessie hat didn't want to stay on very good, so we decided to just give her a braid. G-Ma did a great job! Crazy about Uncle Clint!
I am so glad Mackenzie was "Jessie." It was the perfect costume for her this year!

Madison Made The Cover

Madison made the front cover of this week's Channel! What an adorable, fat little baby she was! Just look at those cheeks and all of those rolls. This picture was from last year's Noah's Ark.

Trick-or-Treating Fun

Our neighborhood decided to do Trick-or-Treating on Saturday night, and I was so glad! We loaded the girls up in the wagon and off we went. They loved it! When we got close to the door, we would get them out of the wagon and they would walk up to the door. The closer they got to the door, the faster they walked! We kept having to tell them not to knock on the door after we rang the doorbell. If people didn't come soon enough, Madison would start knocking...so funny! Mackenzie went right for the good candy...Reeses, Milky Way, Hershey's. Madison picked suckers every time! When we got home and dumped out her bucket, I bet there were 10 suckers in there. I took a lot of pictures of them riding around in the wagon...it was just too cute! G-Ma stayed behind at our house to pass out candy, but we only had one little boy show up. I think most people still trick-or-treated the next night. We just left our candy on the porch with the light on since we weren't going to be there. Brian and I had a lot of fun taking the girls trick-or treating in our neighborhood! I don't know who liked it more...us, or them! Mackenzie kept saying, "Can we go home?" and we would say, "Just one more house!" =0) We are just big kids at heart, I guess! I can say one thing though...this candy has got to GO before I eat it all!
We almost left Madison at home with G-Ma, but I just couldn't go without her. She had been really fussy before we left, but she was a perfect little angel trick-or-treating! She was having fun! So glad we didn't leave her behind. The first house! Tony gave the girls lots of candy & flashlights too. That worked out great because they got to play with them the whole time.Madison really tried to eat every piece of candy she got as soon as she got back in the wagon!
Waiting patiently for them to come to the door!
Madison's classic head tilt!We trick-or-treated for about an hour before heading home. This was a great way to get out and meet the neighbors. What a pretty house! (except for the dead mums!) Here is a picture of our Jack-o-Lantern daddy carved. G-Ma was so excited to finally have some trick-or-treaters! They sure were cute ones!
Checkin' out their loot!
Yum, Yum, Yum!!! Look at all of these goodies! After quick baths, these girls went RIGHT to sleep!
What a fun-filled, exhausting day!
