The Artistic Stylings of Jonah

Jonah is really into drawing stick people these days! They still always have straight frowning lines for mouths, but when I ask him if his people are happy or sad, he always says enthusiastically, "Happy!!" (I hope that's not what my "happy" face looks like to him!)
We are also working on learning how to write (and recognize) letters and trying to remember to write his name the right direction. G-Ma assures me that it is normal for lefties to want to write their names backwards, so I'm trying not to fret too much over this.
Jonah has an artistic style all of his own! Here are some of his most recent masterpieces.
He really likes drawing all over envelopes like this and then cutting up tiny little pieces of paper and putting them inside.

Go, Marshmallow Lasers!

Mackenzie's basketball season was from mid-December through February 3rd. Her games were on Saturdays at a Middle School pretty close to our house. Her team is called the Marshmallow Lasers. (uhhh???) Most of the teams we played had 6th and 7th grade girls that were a head taller than the girls on our team. Between that and the fact that all of the girls on Mackenzie's team have played together for years and she was kind of viewed by them as an outsider, it wasn't always easy for Mackenzie. But she tried her best and we are so very proud of her! I hope she will try to play basketball again next year, but we will leave that up to her.
Jan 6 Game:
Just look at this awesome fan club she had!
Jan 20 Game:
Jonah had fun playing with his buddy, Kyzer!
January 27th Game:
Jonah was very serious about "video'ing" with his "camera."
February 3rd, last game of season... (hallelujah!--it was hard on this Momma to watch Mackenzie struggle through this season.)
Our faithful fan club! Love them so so much!
Great job Mackenzie!! Way to stick it out and finish strong!!
