On the Saturday night after Thanksgiving, we went to The Christmas Train at Dry Gulch with G-Ma & the Easterwood's. What an incredible experience! It is run by over 300 volunteers from Church on the Move, and it truly is a wonderful ministry opportunity. I have always wanted to go, but tickets sell out very quickly. This year I stayed up until midnight and got tickets right when they went on sale! They sold all 50,000 tickets for this year without a matter of a few hours. (Thank you G-Ma, for taking us to the Christmas Train!) We got there when it opened at 5:00 and stayed until it closed at 10:00, and still didn't really have enough time to see everything. We saw Santa, rode the carousel, did bumper cars, Jonah did a pony ride, played on the playground, rode the train, and watched a cute puppet show. The train ride basically tells the story of creation all the way through the birth, death & resurrection of Jesus. Everything is outside, so we were so thankful for a beautiful, dry night that wasn't too cold. At the end of the night, the guys took the kids to play while Connie, mom and I went into a few shops. I'm so glad we got to go with the Easterwood's...everything is more fun with friends! This was such a great way to start our month of Christmas activities...remembering that Jesus really is the reason for the season!
