Easter Ducks

Grandma & Grandpa Baldwin got baby ducks for the kids for Easter. And the BEST part is that they are staying at the lake...not coming home with us!!! Mackenzie instantly claimed "her" duck and named her "Sweetie." All of the ducks looked the same to me, but she could pick Sweetie out of the crowd right away. A few years ago, when Madison was a brand new baby, Grandma & Grandpa bought ducks for all of the Grandkids to take home with them on Easter. That was a sort of fun experience...but, I think the fact that I was trying to potty train a 2 1/2 year old, change a newborns diapers, and clean up the poop of two ducks ...well, it was just too much for me! Thus, never again will I have ducks at my house! It will be lots of fun to visit our little duck friends at the lake though!
Grandma told all of the kids to close their eyes so she could bring in the surprise...

Mackenzie was quite comfortable and not at all concerned about her panties showing...oh my!
Madi made me a little nervous when she held the ducks...she either squeezed the guts out of them, or didn't hold them tight enough and I was afraid they would fall right out of her hands.
There was so much noise and activity going on at this point that Jonah didn't know what to think. He really wasn't interested in the ducks at all!
The duck was waving with his little wing for the picture.
We stayed a little longer than everyone else, so that gave the girls some extra time to play with the ducks. Mackenzie wasn't a happy camper when it was time to leave them. She said, "But Sweetie is going to be sad and miss me." I was sad for her, but not sad enough to take the duck home with us. We made arrangements to Face Time with Sweetie soon!
