Driving through the entrance to Disney World has got to be on my top 10 most exciting things list. Anyone who is a Disney fanatic like me will understand! When you drive under that sign, you leave reality in a sense, and enter into a magical place "Where Dreams (really do) Come True!" It is just so special to know that you are getting ready to make wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!
We arrived at Disney World on Thanksgiving Day, so it was definitely not your "normal" Thanksgiving! We got to our resort, The Art of Animation, about an hour before G-Ma got there on the Magical Express bus. We were all so excited when she got off the bus and we "officially" started our trip! Uncle Clint and Aunt Abigail were staying at a different resort so we met up with them a little later. As we were walking to our room, there was an airplane in the sky writing some words..."Thank God" and "Jesus." It was such a special way for us to start our trip, on Thanksgiving...a day to be thankful...with a reminder that Yes, we needed stop and thank God for this opportunity we had been given. Also, we are so very thankful for G-Ma for treating us to this awesome vacation...we couldn't have done it without her! And, we wouldn't have wanted to...we LOVE having her there with us! We were so happy that Uncle Clint & Aunt Abigail were able to join us for the first part of our trip also!
After settling into our room, we headed to Downtown Disney for the girls' Bibbiddi Bobbiddi Boutique appointments, before going to the Grand Floridian for dinner with Cinderella & Prince Charming. It was a wonderful first day at Disney!
Uncle Clint just loves "It's a Small World"...or not! So I made sure the girls knew how much he loves it!

When we went to Disney two years ago, my Dad had only been gone for 3 months. It was still so fresh and hard at that point. We still miss him like crazy, every day, but you find a way to adapt I guess.
Our room had a bedroom, a fold down bed/table, and a hide-away bed/couch. It was perfect!
I laid out their new outfits for our Royal Thanksgiving Dinner. Mackenzie was Jasmine and Madison was Sofia. And, of course Jonah was Prince Charming, compliments of Grandma Baldwin. She is AWESOME!
Mack was all about this headpiece!
