Shopping at Reasor's

Madison's second field trip of the year was to Reasor's to buy food for the upcoming Thanksgiving Feast. For some reason, both times Mackenzie's class did this when she was in ELP, she wasn't able to go. So this was our first grocery store field trip experience. Ms. Nancy and Ms. Hillary had a big grocery list and each of the kids got to help pick out an item. Madison's buddy for this trip was Emma. Madison just happened to be asked to pick out the string cheese. Quite possibly her favorite food ever! The Dietitian for Reasor's walked around with the kids and talked to them about healthy food options. Once they had picked out all of the groceries, the kids got a cookie and a flower to take with them. I don't normally shop at Reasor's, but after this shopping trip, I may start! What an awesome grocery store! These kids are going to have an excellent Thanksgiving Feast!
Jonah is like the class mascot!
Every time they got an item, they would all sit down on the floor around the list and Ms. Nancy would cross it off.
Ms. Hillary was explaining to them that there are some boys and girls who don't get to have peanut butter because they can't afford it. Their mission project for Christmas is to collect peanut butter for the Ministry Center.
Checking out the string cheese...
This girls LOVES her some cheese!
