Leaving Disney World is always, always bittersweet! No...it's downright SAD! It doesn't matter how many days we've been there, how hot and tired we were, or how ready we were to be home...it's always sad to leave. It's something that we look forward to and plan for, for months and months, then all of a sudden...it's over. =0(
Brian had his conference on Tuesday morning, so we spent the morning finishing up our packing and eating breakfast at our resort. G-Ma's plane wasn't leaving until later in the afternoon, so she was able to hang out with us until just before Brian got back and we loaded up. After we had breakfast at the food court, we went back to the room and the kids colored until it was time to go. It's always sad when G-Ma leaves...the girls and I both had a good cry after she left, but it didn't last long. The sweet, fun memories made always outweigh the sadness at the end of the trip.
And, it's always a little sad knowing the next time we come, the kids will be that much older...Mackenzie probably won't be into princesses at all next time. I made sure she wore this shirt on our last day though, to remind myself..."Once a Princess, Always a Princess." I have a feeling that's definitely going to be true in her case!
We drove to Birmingham and spent the night on Tuesday night, and then drove the rest of the way home on Wednesday. Why does the drive home always take so much longer than the drive there?
As I'm sitting here blogging all of our Disney posts, I can't help but think it's time to start planning another trip! Maybe to Disneyland this time...who knows?! The Disney lover in me just can't seem to get enough!
We played on the playground for a while too, while we waited on Daddy to pick us up.
G-Ma pulled out on the Magical Express bus about the same time that we pulled out of the parking lot.
Here is our farewell Disney video...
Until Next Time...
