Jedi Training Academy

Mackenzie had mentioned several times that she wanted to do the Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios. I wasn't really sure how serious about it she was, (she's never even seen Star Wars!) but when we got there Friday morning, she was all about signing up! Brian took her and waited in line to get a time slot & I think her return time was around 2:30. They got to wear these brown robes & they were each given a light saber to use. This is where I have to insert...IT. WAS. SO. SO. HOT. I was about to melt & I wasn't wearing a robe...so she must have been miserably hot! They took half of the kids up onto the platform to fight Darth Vader, and the other half stayed on ground level and fought the Sith Lord. Now let me just tell you...he was scary! There was definitely a look of fear on Mackenzie's face when it was her turn to fight him. She was very serious & I was a little afraid that she was going to come out crying, but in the end she loved it! The Disney Photo Pass photographers captured some amazing pictures. Later on in the day, G-Ma took Mackenzie to customize her own light saber, (she picked green...no surprise there!) which she thought was the coolest ever! She also got a Jedi Training Academy pin for her lanyard. This is definitely something that will be added to our list of must-do's for future Disney trips!
Getting ready...
This is her nervous smile...
When it was over...
I think she would've looked happier, but she was so hot.
Yep, really hot!
Her light saber!
I love this picture!
And a few more video's...(Brian and I were standing in different spots & both video'd most of it!)
