When you get to watch your kids excel at what they love doing, that is the absolute best! Theater is Mackenzie's thing and she rocked it as Olaf in CHA's production of Frozen! What a talented group of kids!! When the cast list for Frozen came out, Mackenzie's reaction to playing Olaf was not total excitement...that is role that most people think of as a boy & she just wasn't sure about it. She really had her heart set on Elsa, so to be cast as Olaf was initially a very big let-down. But--it didn't take her long to realize how FUN it was going to be! She totally made it her own and it was fabulous!! I am confident that she was the prettiest and sweetest Olaf there ever was! She received the Best Supporting Actress award and it was well-deserved! If they were doing this musical next year when Mackenzie is a Senior, I truly believe she would have gotten Elsa. But, this is just the way the cards fell, and to be completely honest--Olaf was way, way more fun anyway!
This will go down as a top 3 favorite High School memories, for sure!
