Before we went to the air show, we went over to Toni's firework stand and GMa bought a ton of fireworks for the kids. I have so many fun memories of going to the fireworks stand when I was a kid! Mostly, I remember "smoking" candy cigarettes and Grandma and Poppa giving us each $20 to spend on fireworks and thinking we were rich. LOL! I can't even believe candy cigarettes were such a thing back then! But hey, I'm sure my dad was standing right beside me, smoking a real cigarette, so no wonder I thought that was a cool thing to do. We got a lot of parachutes and the kids had a blast chasing those down! Mack had fun lighting black cats. She almost got blown up once, when she lit the wrong end of the fuse...so wish I had that on video! Didn't know the girl could run so fast! Nobody got burned or injured, so I would say it was a successful night! Jack kept digging in the gravel and wanting to get too close to the lit fireworks, so we brought the water table up for him to play in. He alternated between sitting in the water and chasing parachutes in his underwear! =0) Who needs a swimsuit?! Oh, to be 3 years old!! We are usually at camp on the 4th of July, so it is always fun to pop fireworks and do family things the weekend before. At the end of the night, we gave Jack a bath and then loaded everybody up and drove back to camp for week 5.
Jonah and Carver are pretty good buddies!
Jack got to open a birthday present from Carver!
Tank battle!
Happy boy!
Madi! LOL! I'm not exactly sure what was happening here, but she was all in!
Jack was a little late on the scene for this one!
Parachutes are the best!
Rockets in slow-mo
Only Brian...
We did a couple of big fireworks at the end!
