When we were planning our Utah trip, Brian said "Hey I have an idea, let's find a drop-in babysitting place for Jack so we can go snowmobiling." I laughed. Hard. I mean...I have never left Jack in the nursery at church, so I'm not about to drop him off at an unknown daycare in another state. What even?? So I did a little thinking, and we ended up asking Sara if she would like to babysit for us. She was happy to keep Jack for a few hours, and I was happy with this plan because we know and trust Sara & Dustin. This was Jack's first time to stay with anyone other than family, and I wasn't sure how he would do. Especially since I'm nursing and he would have to take a bottle while we were gone. But, I was worried for nothing...he did great! Sara was sweet to send me pics of Jack every once in a while.
The snowmobile tour was a lot of fun...this isn't something I would necessarily choose to do, but I'm glad we did it! There were 7 or 8 snowmobiles with our group & we had a guide. I was very glad we had a guide that we had to stay behind, because there's no telling how fast and crazy Brian would have driven that thing. He saw the guide jump his snowmobile over a little hill, so of course that was his cue to jump our snowmobile too. We got some pretty good air a couple of times, which was scary and fun at the same time. It was great to spend a few hours doing something fun, just the two of us.
After our snowmobile tour was over, we grabbed lunch at In-N-Out on our way to pick Jack up. Then we went back to the hotel to get cleaned up, before going into downtown Salt Lake City for a few hours that evening. We just walked around for an hour or so, and then ended up going back to Cafe Zupas and Crumbl cookie again that evening for dinner. It was kind of an all-day-date, which was so fun & needed.
