F-F-F-FREEZING...

When the weather forecasts started rolling in, showing that we were going to get 10"-15" of snow overnight Sunday, this pic above is how we felt about it. Ha! We were supposed to fly to Utah on Monday morning, so we had to postpone our trip a week. After that initial snow on Sunday/Monday, another round came in on Wednesday/Thursday. I don't think we got anywhere near the max amounts they predicted, but we did get a solid 7"-8" of snow. And it was SO. STINKIN. COLD. The temps got down into the negatives, and it was painful to even walk outside. The kids wanted to play out in the snow immediately, but we made them wait a few days until it warmed up a little. Thankfully our power never went out!
The kids ended up being out of school for the entire week. But, we had already used all of our official snow days, so we had to do distance learning. Oh, man...that gave me major flashback from last spring, and it made me extremely thankful that we have been able to go to school this year. I will say that doing distance learning was definitely easier this week, than when I was 8 months pregnant!
We ate lots of yummy food, cuddled on the couch and watched movies, made blanket forts to sleep in, played UNO, and just had fun together. My big project for the week was finishing Jonah's timeline for school. On Wednesday, Brian took the big kids to the dentist for cleanings since its just down the street from our house and they were out of school. I'm glad they didn't get stuck in the snow! Jack and I stayed home where it was warm and safe. =0)
As long as we have plenty of good food (including Diet Coke and chocolate) and our power stays on, I don't mind being snowed in with my people!
Jack was a great Teacher's Assistant...hahaha!
Headed to the dentist on Wednesday...this was the first time out of the house since Saturday.
These cuties kept me warm!
Happiness.
