Class Christmas Parties

The girls both had their class Christmas parties on Friday at 11:00, right after Madison sang at the nursing home. Thankfully Brian was able to be there too, so we kind of took turns going from one room to the other. Madison's class had chick-fil-a nuggets, cute cookies from Merritt's and all kinds of other goodies. They played a game where they got to throw "snowballs" into hats worn by the adults, and Ms. Alessandro read them a Christmas story. She gave each of the kids a nutcracker and some candy, and Madison passed out some little cookies that she helped decorate to her friends. As soon as she got her nutcracker, Madison said "Mackenzie's going to be so jealous," and she was right!
Mackenzie's class party didn't go exactly as planned, because 5 of her classmates and Mrs. Martin were out sick. I didn't want to touch anything in that classroom! (Thankfully we have stayed well so far!) They made the cutest nativity ornament, ate pizza and all kinds of goodies, and passed out treats to their friends. Mrs. Martin had little bags with cute penguin mugs & hot chocolate mixes for the kids. Jonah was kind of a little rascal during the parties. He had been with Connie earlier in the morning while Brian and I went with Madison, and she said he was wonderful for her...I guess he was saving it all up for us! By the time 12:00 Friday came, we were READY for a two week break! With the combination of making dozens & dozens of cookies and all of the regular Christmas activities going on, I was completely exhausted! We went home, packed, and headed to Newcastle to start our Christmas festivities!
Mackenzie's expression...she's getting to the age where having your mom taking pictures is just embarrassing! Haha!
Jonah did sit happily and watch Mickey for part of the time.
The snowball game!
We LOVE Ms. Alessandro!
I am so thankful that Madison has made friends easily this year! Here she is being silly with Annie & Claire!
