Christmas at G-Ma's House

We spent the weekend before Christmas at G-Ma's house. We got there on Friday evening and stayed until Monday afternoon, and it was fun the whole time! Her house is beautiful all of the time, but especially so at Christmastime! The girls loved getting to be around their baby cousin, Carver! And, as always, G-Ma spoiled them all rotten with present after present! On Saturday morning we had brunch type foods and then later that afternoon we opened presents. An added little bonus for me was a quick visit from my good friend, Leslie, who lives in Louisiana. I was glad to have a break from doing cookies for a few days! On Sunday, we went to church with G-Ma and then had Christmas with the Garrett's. It's so hard for me to believe that this was our 4th Christmas without my Dad. I think of him and miss him every day, but especially at Christmastime. He would have so much fun with the kids and I like to think about how much he would love Jonah & sweet baby Carver!
Madison loved making Carver smile by whistling at him!
G-Ma's under there somewhere!
She let them each open one present on Friday night, after much begging!
Madison got some Frozen books.
Jonah got a Thomas the Train book with little figures.
Mackenzie got The Little House on the Prairie collection book!
There's nothing more special than a baby's first Christmas!
After the girls asked at least 20 times each, it was finally time to open presents on Saturday afternoon!!!
Uncle Clint & Aunt Abigail got Mackenzie this beautiful pink dress for her American Girl doll!
They got Madison a singing Elsa doll!
Poppa Jim & Louise got Jonah a Mickey Mouse train pop-up tent! I can't wait to get this out for him to play with. I know he will love it!
Poppa & Louise got Mackenzie some things for her American Girl doll and for Madison they got a Barbie & some fun new games!
New coats from G-Ma! So cute!
Jonah was really into opening presents this year! This is the first time he has actually been excited about opening them himself! It was so funny...when he opened the shirts that Uncle Clint & Aunt Abigail got him, he went "Ahhh" like he was disappointed that it was clothes! It was hilarious! I, on the other hand, was very excited about those boring clothes!
The girls each got several pairs of new shoes from G-Ma!
Surprise, Surprise, Puppy Surprise! How many puppies are there inside? There could be 3, or 4, or 5!
The girls were so excited about their puppies and couldn't wait to open them to see how many babies they had! Mackenzie's puppy had 3 babies, and Madison's had 4. They are the cutest little things!
Jonah loved his new batmobile!
The commotion of opening presents was a bit much for little Carver. He just didn't understand what was happening!
Mackenzie was so excited to get this outfit from Justice that she has wanted for a long time!
Madison picked out this little turtle on a rock for G-Ma's Christmas present!
Jonah got his first pair of cowboy boots! I mean, seriously...how stinkin' cute are they?!
They're a little big and he can't walk in them very well yet, but he'll catch on soon!
Jonah also got his very own shopping cart and food!
And every boy needs a ninja turtle to play with!
G-Ma got this Barbie & sisters horse set for the girls and they were so excited!
We got Carver a little sleep sack & some onesies, but the girls also each picked him out a little rubber duck and a book for the bathtub.
Stockings at G-Ma's house are the best!!!
Poor Uncle Clint wasn't feeling well at all. =0(
Madison likes him just a little!
Sweet Christmas memories!
This is what it looks like when we leave G-Ma's after Christmas at her house! I spy Jonah in there somewhere!
