Girls' Night

Daddy went to a Youth Ministers' Conference in Dallas this week, so we got to have "girly" time, as Mackenzie likes to call it. I usually don't stay at home alone when he is gone, but this time I didn't really have a choice. Mackenzie missed three days of ELP while we were on vacation, and I didn't want her to miss another day.

We had lunch with Brian before he left, and then went to Staples, PetSmart, and Hobby Lobby. Then we came home and "vegged out," watching Kai-Lan and Jack, playing, blogging...it was fun! Then Mackenzie decided that she and Madison should have a fashion show, so I turned on the radio and they dressed up and danced. When I first turned the radio on, there was a sweet song on as they started dancing and I thought I was going to cry.

It was actually kind of fun to be on our own...I did realize when I went to bed, how much security I feel when Brian is at home. I guess its good to be reminded of that every once in a while. I really missed him! I tucked the girls into bed in our room and locked us all in there. We all slept very well, but we will be glad when daddy comes home!

The grand entrance! The poses she comes up with crack me up!Two little ballerinas! This is the only dress-up costume that fits Madison...it won't be long and she will have lots of hand-me-downs! Mackenzie kept "decorating" Madison with bows and necklaces! (Madison loved it!)Lastly, they had a "parade" with their umbrellas! I am so thankful that we have two girls, so they always have someone to play and dress up with!
