Falls Creek week one was a rollercoaster. Brian and I turned 40 and "celebrated" our birthdays, Falls Creek style. (meaning kind of a non-event) The week took an unexpected, sad turn when we lost my Uncle Jimmy. I will write more about that in a separate post, and stick with just the camp stuff here. There is always a lot going on and a lot of excitement in the air during week one. It didn't take long for me to realize that Jack was going to make things harder for me this summer. There were several weeks throughout the summer when one or two of our kids were off doing other things (Super Summer, kids camp, etc). I was glad we were all able to be at camp together this first week though.
Here are some cute pics from week one of Falls Creek.
This is the amazing group of college-aged Program Staff "kids" that we get to hang out with all summer. They are awesome & our kids love them!
It is so cool to watch Brian do what God made him to do. He's kind of awesome!
So. Many. Golfcart. Rides.
I mean...we can only sit inside that little apartment for so long every day.
Love.
Back to the counting room! Jonah is really into his "job" this year. I just love that my kids get to be a part of what is going on around them.
Phase 10. And more Phase 10.
Madi fixed up her little area! =0))
I wonder how many melt-downs he had a day...it was a lot.
He's a Momma's Boy, for sure.
But he also adores his Daddy!
Throwing rocks outside of a cabin while Daddy talked to a group after dinner.
I do lay him in his bed to take naps sometimes, so the bed isn't a total waste of space!
