Cookie Decorating Girls

Nothing says "Christmas" quite like decorated sugar cookies, right??

It was so fun to host the December 6th grade girls Bible Study/Cookie decorating party! The only Saturday in December that would work was the 19th, which was the day after we got out for Christmas Break. I was a little concerned that we would lose a lot of girls since it was that close to Christmas, but that was not the case! There ended up being 20 girls there...wow! We had a very full house, and I was worried about people feeling crowded and uncomfortable, but I think everyone had a fun time! Shana led a short devotion, and then the girls grabbed hot chocolate and snacks, and got to decorating their cookies. I gave them a quick demonstration, and then they set to work. I have to say, I was completely impressed with their creativity! There were even Trump & Biden gingerbread cookies, hahaha! Some of the girls really took their time and did a great job...there may be some future cookie makers in this group! Towards the end of the party the girls started putting icing all over their faces though, so that was our cue that it was time to send them to the backyard while we cleaned up a little. =0)

Madison was very excited to have all of her friends over to our house for this, which made all of the time and money spent, worth it. It was a favorite Christmas memory from this year, for sure.

I am so thankful for all of these sweet girls & their mommas that we get to do life with! Fun times! Oh, and the moms decided that next year we should have the cookie decorating party just for ourselves!
