7th Grade Stuff

I can already tell that Mackenzie is going to love Secondary! They get to do a lot of fun things! On the 5th day of school, they got to go to the football field for a fun morning of competition and games, and have a cookout for lunch. Each grade was assigned a color & the 7th graders were purple. I didn't know until after the fact that she was supposed to wear a purple shirt. Oh well! I guess it wasn't too big of a deal. She had a blast anyway!
It's definitely been a transition for me, to get used to how things work in Secondary. For one thing, I feel like I never have a clue what is going on! I went from having one teacher that I could communicate with by text, to having 6 teachers that expect independence and self-sufficiency from her...it's a good thing, I just have to get used to it!
I love her school picture so much!
Middle School years can be so very hard...even the sweetest Christian kids can be so cruel at times. I love this saying "throw kindness around like confetti."
Well here we are on the 4th day of school...already having to call Connie for help with Pre-Algebra! We. Are. In. Big. Trouble. Here.
Off she goes, looking way too grown up!
Mackenzie has Speech this semester...she doesn't seem too anxious about it, but it literally gives me anxiety for her & brings back all kinds of awful memories from Mrs. Burchel's class for me!
Daddy took Mackenzie to See You at the Pole...it was really early & rainy...
Oh, Pre-Algebra...we don't like you!
Here are a few pics from Homecoming week!
