Beach Day #2

Day two brought more of the same thing...we slept in, ate a big breakfast, and then headed back to the beach for the afternoon. Daddy and Grandpa Baldwin took the kids for a walk to the jetty before breakfast. Mackenzie kept a shirt on all day, so that her sunburn didn't get any worse, and we made sure to keep lots of sunscreen on everyone. When we were done playing in the water, we took showers and then Brian and I took the kids into town for ice cream (yep, right before dinner--Dairy Queen two days in a row...why not?!) and souvenir shopping while Grandma Baldwin made spaghetti for dinner. The hardest part of the week for me was that it was SO HOT in the trailer. I'm not sure if the air conditioner wasn't working properly, or if it was just so hot outside that it couldn't keep up, but it was pretty miserable in the afternoons especially. After dinner, we took bread down by the water to feed the seagulls and then we all settled in to watch a movie and go to bed early. We were all pretty tired!
The last time we stayed in a trailer on the beach, we had a 2 year old and a 4 year old...they took up a lot less space than a 10, 8 and 4 year old did this time! We had a very fun trip, but I'm thinking maybe next time a hotel would make things easier! Ha,ha!
Eek!! Momma fail:
Madison and I decided we had enough of the beach before everyone else, so we went back to the trailer and made some lunch & then headed to the showers. She was my shower buddy every day we went to the beach! I love spending one-on-one time with each of my kids. It doesn't happen often enough! Oh and let me not forget...the shower water was FREEZING!
This is what a tired little boy looks like!
