We arrived at Myrtle Beach around 8:00 Saturday evening and drove straight to the beach to feel the sand and waves on our feet. It was such an exciting, refreshing feeling after that long drive, knowing that we had the whole week at the beach ahead of us. The girls loved the ocean right away, but Jonah wasn't so sure. He pretty much clung to Brian's head the whole time and didn't want to get down. I think the noise of the waves and the amount of people on the beach was overwhelming to him. After stretching and enjoying the sand for a few minutes, we headed back to the van and drove to the resort. It was still about a 45 minute drive through traffic and then we got lost, so it was a bit frustrating. =0/ We were all excited to see Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin and the girls set to work unpacking and organizing their room right away. Mackenzie even made lists for each of them, so they would know what they needed to do each day:
*Make bed
* Git dresst
* Eat Brefest
* Go to the beach
I think she's pretty much got it figured out and has come up with the perfect plan for a relaxing vacation! (We may need to work on her spelling skills before school starts!)
The girls had their own bedroom and this fun little play area too. It was perfect! Mackenzie is my little organizer...everything had it's place.
Brian asked Mackenzie if she would sing a song for us on Sunday morning, so she wrote out the Doxology. I love the "au men" part! (Again...we need to brush up on spelling!) =0)
Thank you, Lord for providing this time away for our family!
