After our early morning shell hunt and cleaning up and packing, we headed out to do some fun last minute things before we had to leave the next morning. First, we went back to Boardwalk at the Beach to let Mackenzie do the inflatable water balls. She begged and begged to do this the first time we were there, and we said no. But, when she left her tooth under her pillow, the tooth fairy left a certificate to go back and do that instead of $ this time. (What an AWESOME tooth fairy!) We fed the crazy fish again, went back into Johnny Rockets for milk shakes, and then took the girls to Build-a-Bear. Yes, we caved...I have got to learn to say NO and stick with it. I know that I do! But, they were so excited and wanted to go so badly! I told them we could go in and get Myrtle Beach shirts for the bears we already had...but we walked out with two new pony's wearing outfits. Eeeek! Well, that took care of their souvenirs for the trip, I guess! After that, we went back to the resort and I laid down for a while, before going to the beach to fly a kite and then play miniature golf that evening. I fought terrible headaches most of the time we were gone. Other than that, we had a great last day in Myrtle Beach!
I don't think this was quite as fun as she thought it would be. In fact, she was asking to get out before her time was even up. I think it was a lot more work and took more energy than she realized!
Johnny Rockets again! This time we got hats to wear.
We have been saving the bee kite all summer that Madison got from Lucy for her birthday, so we could fly it on the beach. Then we went and almost forgot about it! So, we made a quick stop to fly the kite...but the wind was blowing so hard that it didn't work too well. It was still fun though! We also collected some sand in a baggie to use for a special secret project we are going to do soon.
Finally, a picture of Jonah actually looking at the camera and smiling at the beach!
I love these beautiful kids of mine so very much!
